Does anyone know in which comic superboy first wore his black t-shirt and jeans costume?

thanks...thats what i though just wanted to make sure..thanks again!!

Instead of closing this, how about to shift this topic to another discussion.

Clark Kent as Superboy like in the Silver Age, and maybe in All Star Superman based on that interview:

What does everyone think of that idea of Clark in his teenage years dressing up as Superboy before he became Superman, of course? Is this a good idea maybe because this represents what every kid at the time, even now, were thinking? Or even thinking of it now, is it a really bad idea?

Well, it just doesn't work. Superboy, hero of Smallville? Superman, hero of Metropolis? About 12 years ago Superman came to Metropolis. Who else moved into Metropolis? Clark Kent, former resident of Smallville.

I don't mind him being Superboy, but it shouldn't be anything that went on very long before becoming Superman, and no posters with "hero of Smallville".

If he went to the future and fought along side the Legion, I would be okay with that. But, all that other stuff, his time as SB in Smallville, kinda lame. Learning the ropes of being a Superhero from people inspired by his future exploits? Screwy, but, i'd check it out. But over all, no. I don't think the idea of Clark Kent as Superboy should be revisited. Unnecessary.

What if Superboy was around in Smallville, and except for Lana and Pete Ross, nobody knew there was a Superboy. Just that there were a mysterious avenger saving lives but no one saw him.

And what if Clark was Superboy for only a period of time, like from ages 11-13?

I wouldn't mind if Clark were Superboy again. Everyone's come to accept the glasses "disguise," so it wouldn't be much of a leap to suspend disbelief enough that he could be Superboy in Smallville and Superman in Metropolis without arousing suspicion. I think Clark's pretty much safe from coincidence-based identification hazards at this point.

Well, I really wouldn't want to see him getting his powers till the age of 15/16, since that puts a damper on the 11-13 thing.

Post-Crisis, Conner was the one who went to the future and joined the Legion. There's no need to fck with that.

I don't mind Clark having had adventures with Pete Ross and Lana Lang discovering his powers for the first time as a teenager, but the idea of him actually putting on the bright costume and screwing around here and there before going to Metropolis just feels wrong and more than a bit unnecessary. It almost feels like a bit of a in-joke.

There is a TPB of Conner's days with the Legion it is very good. It shows what happens during the time he was there and all. A must for Conner fans.

i'll have to pick that up. yeah i could see him like last year of high school being a mysterious guy helping people then traveling the world as said mystery.

you mean the actual suit or being superboy. He's never worn the actual suit has he?

The costume Superman wore? Yeah, he did.

I actually have that TPB and it is good.

It worked for 40 yrs.

I think they should bring Conner back somehow i know this recent incarnation of him was hated on alot...but i think he is a pretty cool character he just needs some good storylines....and i liked the tshirt and jeans look....but im sure most of you dont....do you think Robin's plan to clone another Conner will work?

Conner was pretty damn funny in IC, Robin should at least suceed cloning him on his 643rd attempt.....

Really? The only person I've seen who hates Conner around here is GAH.

well i hope you are right...im new to the this forum but i did read a few things about people not liking the current superboy, but if you are right and people do like him then maybe they will bring him back, hopefully all the lawsuit crap with superboy will get straightened out sometime.

I liked Conner a lot. He's much more interesting than a young Clark Kent, as far as I'm concerned.
