Yeah seems so. Since the trailer went viral, they probably couldn't pay Rachel Platten...Has anyone else noticed that they changed the music at the end of the trailer? It used to be "This is my fight song" and now it is something else.

Some kind of licensing issue?
13 episodes ordered:

No, CBS has only ordered 13 episodes, and once things get going then they will probably add the 9 remaining.
As far as written to 13 year olds....I just didn't see that. The pilot was definitely a woman positive superhero series, but so what....it's about time. IMO, it was written for that important 13 -- 18 demographic yes....but more importantly the 18 -- 49 female demographic, and apparently the advertisers thought the same thing at CBS' Upfront because they were all over the trailer, and the advertisers want that 18 -- 49 female demographic hit because that is who buys their products.
Everyone certainly can have their opinion, but the Upfront adverts and the trending just do not play out the "it looks like it was written to 13 year olds" thinking.
I don't either, in fact, it gave me the same vibe as those two pilots. I'm excited that we are getting a more upbeat superhero series like Flash, I've really enjoyed that series as I make my way through its first season, and I'm very excited about the Supergirl series for the same reason.![]()
Yeah, I too am glad it's more Flash than Arrow for sure.![]()
Making Supergirl like Arrow would be too much like the grim tone of Man of Steel.
Going by the Pilot, which I obviously haven't seenD), I think it is slightly more cheesy than Flash and the writing plays much more fast and loose. Considering that, I'd say it has a tone unto it's own, significantly different from both Flash and (more obviously) Arrow.
