Argh! So we're probably going to have more people die because an emergency coincidentally happens while Supergirl is out of commision, just like the earthquake! (Unless the parasite is not a coincidence but a carefully planned attack by the Kryptonians to neutralize Kara, in which case...okay.)

Looks like Alex is trying to join Kara in the dream world. This has been done before in other shows, but the writers are good, so here's hoping they put their own spin on this.

And Max, James and Winn at the DEO?!?! Oh, this should be interesting! :woot:

Thanks for the photos.

Why is Max in the DEO (especially after he will have just tried to kill Supergirl with her bastardized doppelganger and, if the preview for "Bizarro" is any indication, Alex will know that he just tried to kill Supergirl with her bastardized doppelganger)?

It may be one of those even though he's the enemy, he's the only one smart enough to help us situations.

Probably because they are desperate for help. Really reminiscent of them asking for Lex's help many times in the comics.

This is a major development to see Jimmy, Winn, and Max in the DEO.

Melissa looks beautiful all in white.

And it looks like Max Lord is recruited to help with saving Supergirl. Is he going to reveal he knows her identity and other things going on at the DEO?

I think it's possible they find that out in ep 12 going from Kara's line of. "No one is safe...." but that is just speculation on my part.

I'm having a hard time figuring out why Max would agree to help them when he just tried to kill Kara himself, even if they were desperate enough to set aside that fact and ask him for help.

We'll see what they do, though.

Maybe they don't know he's behind Bizarro girl. After all, she looks like Melissa for part of it, and then might look grotesquely deformed for the rest, so maybe not recognisably like that girl lying on that bed that Hank saw.

ya hard to know way they are going to max since we dont know how the next episode ends yet. He probably trys to play it off that the girl wasnt his or something.

I wonder if the fantasy world that Kara is trapped in has multiple levels.
We may be tricked into thinking she is awake when she is not.

I'm thinking the parasite is another attempt by Astra to recruit Kara to her side (side with us Kryptonians and not the humans, remember your family, etc...).

That pic of Kara fighting Non maybe at the start of the ep before she gets hit by the parasite, or it could be later in the ep with MM fighting in Supergirl guise when the evil Kryptonians try to take advantage of her incapacitation.

Speaking of which, MM can be automatic insurance for whenever Supergirl is out of action, since he has almost all of her powers anyway.

I'm generally blase about dream trope episodes. Almost every show has one (usually much much later on and coincides with the main actors' wish to do a musical episode. Figuring Jeremy Jordan and Melissa Benoist's song and dance backgrounds, it's bound to happen here eventually) and usually results in lazy writing. Nothing can ever beat [greatest Star Trek NG episode of all time] 'The Inner Light' so any time I see a dream/alternate reality episode on another TV show, usually pales in comparison (by miles). These side trips don't push the story along, which on a weekly episodical, you need to.

The thing is every time MM changes there is a chance of bringing in more White Martians.

The synopsis and what has been said about this episode is that the DEO is attacked while Kara is out of commission, so I'm thinking that those pics are once she comes out and she's not happy. So maybe it is a little of both, maybe it is Non (not necessarily Astra) that has something to do with the parasite and puts her out of commission in order to attack the DEO...with Max's help (have no clue how that comes about, good grief) they free her from the parasite in time to ..... well whatever she is about to do to Non.

Who knows, it's fun speculating though.... ;)

Maybe to gain their trust, keep your friends close but your enemies closer

Oh I hate if they play the trope she thinks is awake but isn't a few times. That gets really cheesy and overplayed.
