The tone of the ep is different to recent ones and it seems like a story not connected to anything so far this season. I thought for a moment that there was a new costumed villain but it's just Guardian. Looking forward to seeing Kara back in full reporter mode!

Looking forward to this episode a lot.... looks very intriguing, and yes very different in tone.

I'm curious about this tone too. It seems ominous. Good to see Kara go back into reporting. She really needs to grow there.

I just watched Exodus (when she gets fired), so I was wondering if they might do something like this.

It makes sense, given the "Can she have it all?" theme of the season (speaking of the personal side of the story).

I think it's the right choice, I wouldn't want to see the superhero side of things become all-encompassing.

Inside the episode:

Sneak peeks:

I'm so not interested in seeing Winns girlfriend help fight crime.

This gut is very Bug-Eyed Bandit, like it's practically the same thing going on.

This is the first time I've enjoyed Mon-El/Kara since they've gotten together. Which just furthers my belief that he makes a better buddy/sidekick than love interest.

I am enjoying that this is more about Kara the reporter then really Kara having to be Supergirl.

"It's true what they say: behind every great man is a strong woman."
"I wouldn't know; I've never stood behind a man."

"Did I mention I'm a black belt?"
"Did I mention I'm a Luthor?"

Kudos to whoever wrote Lena's comebacks tonight, lol.

James does not need his own personal in-field sidekick! Especially on the basis of "well....either my girlfriend gets to fight crime with you or......"

Ok we've officially reached that point where I ACTUALLY tune out during their scenes because I had no idea what you were talking about in this post and had to rewind to find out, lol.

That said, I quite liked this episode overall. And I still really like Snapper way more than most people too. I think he's great.

Yeah apart from the nanobites being very reminiscent of Bug-Eyed Bandit and them having to find a way to keep Winns girlfriend around, it wasn't bad.

This episode is practically what I've been itching for them to do with Iris since Season 1.

But I don't know why they didn't just expand Kara or Lenas stories since James/Winn/alien girl took up like maybe 7mins of screen time.

No......more.......Guardian..............please.

And, now we have Mehcad doing commercials to show during Supergirl?? What????

Are they afraid that we don't like Mehcad? I love Mehcad, I just don't like Guardian...

During the time they showed the dumb subplot they could have had Supergirl actually kicking the ass she wanted to kick. :(

That was the least amount of time with J'onn and Alex.

This episode as Kara/ Lena-centric and shows that Lena is a better friend to Kara than most. I agree with Mon-El being used better as sidekick than love interest.

The triangle with James/ Winn/ Lyra was okay as it didn't take up too much screentime.

I wonder if this episode was a test to see what Supergirl would do without the DEO.

As far as I'm concerned, James, Winn and Lyra should all feel free not to return next season. I'm fine with Winn when he's just the tech guy at the DEO, but his own storylines (aside from the Toyman ep) bore me as much as James.

Really I thought it was a test to see what Supergirl would do without actually doing anything. :csad:

Seriously, we are in the last 5 episodes and they give us this? Really?

And then we are going to have a James centric episode just 3 from the finale? Really?

Who's show is this?
