And pray tell me how anything Selina does is more than what Natasha does in Avengers or heck, even Iron Man 2.

As was pointed out, Selina has her own agenda in the movie and does things by her own will. Widow in Iron Man 2 and Avengers is just following orders and nothing else.

There are plenty of female characters even in the MCU that I would take over Black Widow. Peggy, Wasp, Gamora, Pepper, Nebula, Valkyrie, Hela, and the Ancient One for starters. The best one is Jessica Jones, if you count her.

Widow doesn't bug me or anything, but there isn't much too her and attempts to give her some depth, like in Age of Ultron, fell flat. Most of the time she comes off as a female Hawkeye with more screentime. She was at her best in TWS, for sure, but her other appearances don't really live up to that.

That being said, I would definitely be interested in a Black Widow solo movie and seeing what they do with her.

She was asked to study and report on a person and she did it in her own way. And why is following orders "not" a character? It shows what the person is and it also shows her shadowy agent quality quite brilliantly. And as was pointed out earlier, Selina changing character literally out of nowhere was a lot more "script needs her to do this now" than it was "character development". Just as how having more screen time does not equal character development, neither does just having someone do stuff on screen. Rises has some of the laziest writing ever seen in a Nolan movie this side of Interstellar and Selina's scenes are part of it.

I think that you guys are being harsh on the women of the MCU.

Peggy Carter, Black Widow, Valkyrie, and the women of GoTG and Black Panther were all interesting enough.

Thanos will either be killed by Nebula or by Captain Marvel.

Mariah Dillard and Misty Knight are also very strong women in the MCU if the Netflix shows count. Elektra as well.

Just hope they finally give Ororo and Rogue their due justice when they come into the MCU.

I wouldn't want to see Thanos killed by Captain Marvel. That honor should go to either Nebula, Tony, or Steve. Carol will definitely f Thanos up, but I don't think her killing him would feel earned considering she's been MIA all this time.

Good grief if Tony lands the final blow, that's just apt confirmation for how much he centers the universe.

It hopefully won't be Tony Stark.

I doubt it'll be Tony either but I wouldn't be surprised if it is. Y'all know who's been getting top billing in these movies.

I think it’ll be a combined strike: Tony, Steve, and Thor. But if I had to pick just one...Steve.

You mean the universe he kickstarted....? Yeah how terribly unfitting :funny:

The way someone follows orders is dependent on character.

Very unfitting. The other two guys make more sense with what they have to stake.

Two other guys? Cap and Star Lord?

I don’t care who lands the “final blow” because it’s likely not going to be one character’s sole actions that are going to undo Thanos’ plan. It’s going to be a group effort, and Tony is as fitting a candidate as anyone for the actual “final” blow given that he kickstarted, popularized, and grew with this universe. He’s the star whether you like it or not.

No, Cap & Thor. Although, Star-Lord & Thor make more sense.

If you don't care, why are you advocating for Stark so much?
I know brand comes before story. That's nothing new nor interesting.

I’m not “advocating for Stark so much”, I’m saying it makes plenty of story-sense given that he has been worried about a Thanos-like threat since 2013 and that’s informed almost all of his actions since the Avengers. But Thor makes more story sense to you? Alrighty. Maybe one day you’ll find someone to agree with you on something.

Nebula and Drax deserve to give the final blow on Thanos. I wouldn't want Cap to brutally kill a villain and Iron Man will probably be dead by that point :o

Tony is badly wounded, so him landing the final blow might not happen, or it might be how he dies.

Or this might happen.

:funny:

Yeah, less than Thor & Star-Lord who's got more personal vendettas.
