Superhero Cinematic Civil War - Part 56

I read that Disney wasn't going to fund them any more, so Netflix would be on the hook for the full production costs.

From my understanding they can't star as the character outside of Netflix for two years. My guess is this year or next they announce the continuation of the shows on the Disney streaming service and they will priemer in 2021

My guess is any series Marvel moves ahead with will be 100% in their control with the new streaming service and the Fox purchase by Disney. So I'd be surprised if they continued shows where multiple seasons are on their competitors platform. After 2 years most people will have (likely) moved on from Netflix and the characters will eventually be rebooted.

Although I'd love it if Charlie showed up in a film.

Every article I see points out the shows were cancelled by both Netflix and Disney. Netflix is not taking the shows off their platforms. So the most likely scenario is Disney ran up the licensing fees on the shows, as outside of the first season of all those shows (all 5 seasons had a shared price), each show had to renew the deal with each season.

Netflix are the ones who cancelled it. Disney had nothing to do with it apparently. If I was to hazard a guess it's because Netflix no longer feel the need to rely on the MCU to help sell subscriptions. so those funds are going to be used for more original content.

I haven't seen any article saying that Disney had a say in cancelling the shows, and I didn't see any while quickly going through a couple of the respectable sites again now. That Netflix isn't taking any already existing material down isn't really the same thing as continuing to spend money on collaborating with a competitor. I'd also be pretty surprised if the contracts didn't deal with eventual price increases as that would be amateurish to leave yourself that vulnerable to your business partner on that level of business, to say the least.

Can we get an update of that sad affleck meme and add Mamoa to list of characters laughing at poor Ben? Lmao

OMG THAT WOULD'VE BEEN SO ENLIGHTENING. Snyder's Justice League could've saved humanity. Now we're all doomed, because "THEY" took it away from us.

LOL.

I swear, these trolls that Snyder constantly gives virtual high fives think his cut of Justice League could cure cancer.

If Snyder followed through on his vision we would’ve gotten more nonesene like the Knightmare sequence in BvS. No thanks.

Haha it definitely wouldnt have saved humanity but it really would’ve been a nice way to close out Clark and Lois’ arc with her being pregnant. Much better than what we got.

I think expectations need to be subverted. How about Lois takes a bullet and Bruce finally impregnates Clark Kent and they name their son Lois? A lot more enlightening, if you ask me...

But it is sooo badass. He snaps necks.

And more amazing dialogue like, "Things fall, things on Earth. And what falls, is fallen."
"Like a turd in the wind"

You just don’t understand the underlying complexities of such dialogue :o
"If there is 1% chance he will turn against us, we have to take this as absolute certainty"
"Tell me, do you bleed? You will."
"WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME? MARTHA. WHY DID YOU SAY IT?"
"I'm friends of your son"
"Is she with you?"
"I failed him in life, I won't fail him in death"

I'm starting to believe the most profound lines in this movie are the ones spoken by Ben Affleck cosplaying as Batman.
