Superhero Cops

This thread is devoted to superheroes who masquerade as cops to get a job done. The notion of a cop with superpowers intrigues me, I don't know why. I started this under TV Series, as I only know of TV episodes that have handled this kind of story, and so far I only know of a couple. But any medium -- TV, film, novels, comics, whatever -- is ok to include here.
I'll start by listing the episodes that inspired this thread --

• Smallville, season 8, episode Bulletproof(2009): Martian Manhunter is nearly killed by an assassin operating from within the police department. To find MM's killer, Clark goes undercover as a beat cop. Clark catches a bullet that was meant for his partner.
• Smallville, seasons 8 and 9, several episodes (2008-2010): The Martian Manhunter has lost his powers. To continue helping people despite being powerless, MM takes a job as a police detective. MM regains his powers in the episode Absolute Justice, after which he stays on with the police, now working as a superpowered cop.
• The Bionic Woman, season 2, Jaime's Shield, parts 1 and 2 (1977): The Office of Scientific Intelligence assigns Jaime Summers to enlist as a police cadet and become a cop to solve a mystery involving a foreign agent and an entire precinct of corrupted cops. This is a great two-part episode that incorporates an impressive Dragnet-like soundtrack and an entertaining cast of characters. Jaime performs as a bionic cop in several scenes, including one in which she takes out a mugger by Frizbee-ing a trashcan lid at him, and ruins his ****chblade by bending it like a pretzel.

I invitge anyone else to provide other examples.

There is the original of course: Barry Allen, who was a police scientist and a certain scarlet speedster at the same time, even on the short-lived TV show.

In Lois and Clark's episode 'Church of Metropolis' Superman has to disguise himself as a policeman after he is warned by intergang that if anyone spots him stopping crimes in their area, they will kill someone he cares about.
