If true Gaga could make an interesting Harley, and as Arthur spent much of the first film dancing and imagining things, expanding in Arthur's head and beyond, into some over the top Musical could be next level.
As the new title Folie à Deux implies a delusion shared by two people, the two (at least in part) being in a Musical actually makes bizarre sense.

Feels a bit weird if Joker gets a musical
before Dazzler.

He's not even a particularly musical character, whereas Dazzler's whole concept is rooted in music and musicals.

I think the Joker Folie à Deux will be more of visual throwback allusions to 50s Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, maybe with some Svengali/Pygmalion My Fair Lady (plot) elements (although subverted) mixed in, as it's all part of their fantastic delusion.

While the Dazzler "Special" should actually be set in the 79-80s S54 dying days of Disco era.
Channeling Saturday Night Fever/Disco GF/ TGiF/Xanadu/Can't Stop the Music /Phantom of Paradise and of course Roller Boogie etal. crossed with some R. Moore era James Bond action thriller.

Also everything JEM movie betrayed and got wrong in trying to "modernize" and "ground" it, abandoning the era, the look, the powers, Dazzler needs to embrace fully.​

Yep, think you’re onto something here. They could do an awesome job with a Dazzler musical if they get the right team behind it with a passion for music of that era.

She is just beginning work on “Joker 2,” a reunion with director Phillips and star Joaquin Phoenix, whose soft-shoe to the composer’s “Bathroom Dance” music very likely won her the Oscar. Lady Gaga joins the cast as Harley Quinn.

During the interview, Guðnadóttir also shared that she “just started” writing the score for Folie à Deux. And because the next installment is being developed as a musical, it should allow her to flex her talents in all-new ways.
