Are there any Superman graphic novels out there, and if so, which ones should I start with?

Well you can't go wrong with The Death of Superman. It is still a fun read to this day. If that interests you then you should follow up with The Return of Superman, which is the collection that follows the aftermath of the Death of Superman. Here are a few other favorites

Superman: Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow
Superman: Birthright
Kingdom Come
Trinity
Our Worlds At War

The last two are merely stories that happen to give Superman a prominent role among other featured heroes. Trinity is the only one on that list that I haven't read, but it interested me enough to want to look into it. Our Worlds At War is just a great read. Have fun.

I've read Kingdom Come and Death of Superman and recommend both of them. I also enjoyed Azzarello's Superman for Tommorow.
