Superman & Lois General News & Discussion Thread (TAG SPOILERS!)

Hoping this can get to 4 seasons. 4th in 2024 and we can move on to the Gunn movie in 2025.

 

Precisely my thought as well. It just has that look. Besides, I'm assuming the footage is all from early season episodes, and it'd be too big for an early season moment if it was real.

Also, does anyone know why there seems to be no news story on the SHH main or TV page about thos trailer? And yet there is for GK?

I admittedly watch the Walker franchise of shows and while I like them I would gladly choose Superman and Lois over any Walker series.

'Superman & Lois' casts Michael Cudlitz as Lex Luthor

 

Oh, I dig this a lot! Cudlitz was great on The Walking Dead and can definitely have an imposing presence, so I'm excited to see him have a shot at playing Lex Luthor.

A shame that he won't get to be as foul mouthed as he was on The Walking Dead, though!

 

Yeah Michael Cudlitz is a solid actor whom I loved on the Walking Dead so to see him joining one of my favorite superhero tv shows as Lex Luthor no less is great. Can’t wait to see how different his portrayal is from Jon Cryers and with that description I fear for the Kent family.

 

Let's go! Very looking forward to seeing them tackle Lex

I've never heard of him and have never seen him act, but if he's as good as people are saying he is, he's a welcome addition to the series.

 

He's been featured in various things for years, so you probablt have seen him but it just didn't register at the time. I first took notice of him over 20 years ago with good supporting parts in GROSSE POINT BLANK and BAND OF BROTHERS.

 

Yeah he is one of those character guys that showed up in tons of stuff! I always enjoyed his performances

 

Yeah, Cudlitz has been in everything.

In the 90's, I remember first seeing him on 90210 and Mighty Ducks 3. Always playing the jock.

He'll always be Abraham Ford to me.

 

Unfortunately, I actually haven't seen those two particular things , though I heard good things about both back in the day.

Hmm, I don't remember him from 90210 , and I actually haven't seen any of the Mighty Ducks films.
Then again, I pretty stopped watching 90210 after Shannon Dorothy left, and I hopped over to Melrose Place instead. .

So, I guess it's been ships passing in the night for me as far as Cudlitz goes.

 

With everything going on at The CW and the uncertainty of whether this will be the final season though All Americans renewal has giving me hope but I am glad that we will finally get Lex Luthor in this upcoming (final?) season. So to get to see the iconic Superman vs his iconic arch-nemesis and in case this is it for the series at least we’ll get that and see this shows take on that classic dynamic.

I'd say let him keep the beard (maybe not that style of beard) but like a full beard/ or even a (more cleaned up) goatee

 

Never would’ve thought of Cudlitz for Lex, but I like that they’re allowing the fact that this isn’t the same universe as Supergirl and the rest of the CW shows to be more than just a piece of trivia that doesn’t get expanded on.

And it makes a certain amount of sense. Even in the Crisis event, I don’t recall Cryer having too much face-time with Lois and Clark. He was always about antagonizing Kara. He was Supergirl’s Lex. Cudlitz can be Superman and Lois’s.

 

I hope he actually shaves his head and doesn't wear some silly bald cap like Rosembaum did in the final season of Smallville.

 

I don’t think a bald cap would be the end of the world. Titus Welliver wore a bald cap and it looked fine. The only reason Rosenbaum’s was a problem is that we had seven seasons of reference about what his bald head should actually look like to know something was amiss.
