Superman & Lois General News & Discussion Thread (TAG SPOILERS!)

“If we went on for a couple more seasons, we would have really explored Brainiac,” Helbing tells TVLine of the iconic DC character, played on Superman & Lois by Nikolai Witschl. “We would have done more cool, traditional Brainiac stuff with him.”

At this point, I feel like there must be a curse on Brainiac where he's prohibited from appearing on live action alongside Superman.

Brainiac and Darkseid would've been awesome for the show.

They were also going to explore the Phantom Zone.

Because the CGI of that in action would look like trash?

Yeah the budget cuts were the true villains of this series. Its the one thing that held it back from being TRULY great.

It is one of the best Superman series anyway but it lacked in the "Super" division.

I completely disagree. They had multiple great super fights including 2 with Doomsday.

Its a 53 episode series, 2 fights with Doomsday and some other fights here and there does not Super make (imo)

I mean, if you are watching the show and are more concerned about the super hero aspect, I think y9ou are watching the show wrong.

This is by far the most superheroics we’ve ever gotten with the character in live-action. Smallville’s stuff was all very small-time or just plain silly compared to this. I don’t know what more you could want beyond a budget of $50mil per episode. :funny:

If im watching a show with Superman in the title I expect to see plenty of the super hero aspect with plenty episodic villains. I've also said I know why they couldnt due to lack of budget. I've also said they did a great job with the Clark side of things and the moments we did get.

I've watched Lois & Clark, Smallville, & Superman & Lois all the way through... S&L definitely has the best action out of all the other Superman TV series for sure. Smallville had some really great fights sprinkled throughout 10 seasons, but it definitely has a lot more silly/goofy shenanigans going on in it compared to Superman & Lois.

This is definitely top tier Superman live action content. I think it will age great amongst the Superman fans/comic book community. And it had a really solid ending too.

I'll definitely buy the box set if/when it releases, just like I did with Smallville.
