When does it come out in the UK, a few sites say 14th of July but i found a more recent one dated 30th of June.

I think it is the 14th of July, both Empire and Total Film stated this.

Hahahahahaha! You guys get it weeks after we do.

I'm sorry :(

In new Total Film issue (russian), they said that it will be released on July 20th in Russia!!! :) I am happy.

Of course, it isn't so good, but it is better than July 27th.

I'm going to be in Dublin when the film is released--anybody know when it's coming out there? I know northern ireland gets it july 14th with the rest of the UK...

If you have a local Vue cinema, ask for advanced tickets on July 13. They don't advertise the day-before showings but they always have them. :)

Warners are waiting for the World Cup media hype to die away before releasing Superman Returns in the UK, and the rest of Europe.

Considering America don't seem to care about the World Cup, they're getting it earlier.

Which is probably another reason why X-Men The Last Stand was released when it was. For it to make Money before The Cup in the UK. Superman is waiting until AFTER the World Cup to return over there

The media has been very much focussed on the World Cup these past few weeks, so even a few weeks before I think it would have been a bad idea to release Superman. Plus, it would lose massive numbers of people at the cinema once the Cup started.

It's a good move on Warner Bros' part. I don't mind waiting a little longer.

The World CUp effects cinema takings across the world, not just the UK.

What's amazing is that Spider-Man was released right into the 2002 World Cup. Imagine how much it would have made if it wasn't.

Yeah, I know, but the World Cup hype is not the same in American as it is over here in the UK. Infact, America hardly give a damn about the World Cup, hence their release date.
The UK is an extreme football nation on the whole (although I bloody hate the sport), so it was a wise decision to let it pass before releasing the film.

Heck, they've renamed the Mars chocolate Bar - 'Believe' - entirely for the World Cup.

The movie in his avatar is called Casshern, and it is a good movie, but it is not the action fest that it is advertised as. I think there are four action sequences in a 2hr and 20 minute movie, and the action sequences last no longer than 5mins each. BUT, one of the action sequences is probably one of the best you are ever likely to see. The movie is in Asian and has some good ideas, just dont expect an action fest.

I'm gonna go with the 14th July release date, its what Empire say on their offical website and they're never wrong, very reliable for release dates.

Which is why I'm not buying them :D
