I can't wait to see this, I hope they keep the Gary Frank/Christopher Reeve look for Superman in this film. Also I know this is wishful thinking, but it would be awesome if they got Brandon Routh to provide the voice for Superman in this.

Agreed Young Superman that would be awesome.

Molly Quinn did state we'd get excited for whose voicing Superman gonna venture a few guesses Jon Newton, Jon Hamm or Routh

I dont want any resemblance to the original artwork at all I thought it was downright awful and I didnt care for the reeve-ism.Im all for moving forward not constantly appealing to fanboy nostalgia.
Hope the story is more exciting the original.

given what Molly Quinn said that fans will get excited about who will play Superman, my guesses are

    Gerard Christopher,

    John Newton,

    Tom Welling or

    Brandan Routh

It makes me laugh when people have a go at Gary Frank's artwork. Even if you don't like his Reeve look how can people say its awful? The drawings are superb you might nt be keen on what he does but you can't say his artwork is terrible that's like saying he can't draw

Either John Newton, or Gerard Christopher voicing Superman would make me very happy.

Agreed, I hope they stay close to Gary Frank's designs for the characters.

Routh would be cool, but I am hoping we get the real animated Superman in Daly or Newbern; combined with the Reeves look.. would be heaven.

I think he has some great work. I liked the re-design of metallo in secret origin, just not the colour scheme. But the Reeve look was distracting, would have much preferred his own take. You know the way it is though, you must dislike everything to an extreme on message boards.

I get why people think the Reeve look is distracting I personally loved it. I just hate when people say someone's artwork is awful when it's clearly not but you're right it's the extreme of the net.

I prefer this Brianiac to the 'centipede' version that we got in the New 52.

Yeah same here I loved the Action Comics run but wasn't that keen on Braniac in it. I'd say this and Superman TAS are my favourite versions.

Me too. Though, I gotta say, the versions of Brainiac where he has an insect design (Burton's Superman Lives; New 52) is very ironic if you think about it: someone/thing who claims to be superior to everyone else around them would consider themselves "a god among insects." And if you have a Brainiac that looks like an insect, the irony is big on that.

Anyway, back to Unbound: what scene do you hope makes it into the film version? All of the battle scenes, character moments, etc; I hope we still get this very funny scene between Supergirl and Cat Grant:

I also would not mind Nolan North voicing Superman in this. He does a good Superman voice in the Young Justice cartoon.

"Superman: Unbound" better keep Gary Frank's design for the characters. Especially Superman, this might be our only chance to see a Christopher Reeve inspired Superman in animateion.

It would be even better if they keep out the surgery line at the beginning so fans don't know they're fake until that scene

I have lost my faith in DC since about 3-5 years ago.

However, Superman/Brainiac by Johns and Frank's art is one of these rare jewels that comes up every once in a while.
If this project (and I'm sure it will) come to fruition, I will be in line to buy it.
Personally, I would love Brandon Routh to be the voice - he is such a sympathetic guy. He never said one negative word about the SR debacle. However, the design of "this" Superman is loosely based on Chris Reeve (look it up - it's true!) and maybe they'd need a less "high pitch voice" than Brandon Routh but nothing like Danny Dark either.
I never thought I'd say this but thinking about it - a "George Reeves" voice would be just ok. It's not too high or low and it has authority. Pls if there is a God or aliens or Teletubies or Egyptian reincarnations - don't let DC screw this one up!

I love Superman DTV's -the Elite one is my least favorite- and I love that story
I hope they do like Public Enemies and keep all designs as close to the comics as possible
    Especially this
