First (as far as I know) news of the season...

http://tvline.com/2014/07/01/bones-season-10-james-aubrey-fbi-agent-cast-ask-ausiello/
Question: Do you have any scoop for Supernatural season 10? —Shelby

Ausiello: Sure do. The Season 10 premiere, tentatively titled “Soul Survivor,” will introduce the new recurring role of Rowena, a tough but elegant woman who will stop at nothing to reclaim her power base. Here’s the interesting part: Actresses who have or can perfect a Scottish accent are preferred. Hmm…
And away we go.

Eh I was just about to but oh well. Here's to another season! Also just a heads up CW will be airing Supernatural Retrospective the week before the season premier! Also Jensen Ackles will return to direct the 3rd episode of Season 10.

Heres the Road so far's from Season 1-9 for a recap

Do you have a link to where you got this description?

Sounds exciting, I can't wait! This should be interesting, I just hope they keep DemonDean until the end of the season or at least explore it more than the usual!

Anyone else hope this is the final season? I love this show but I think 10 is a good number to end it on.

A part of me hopes this is the last season, but the other thinks they can explore more stories. The only thing I'm getting sick of is Dean and Sam's *****ing back and forth to each other. They've both been put in the same situation time after time. Sometimes it just seems repetitive.

Take this season for example. You're probably gonna see the following things.

Sam moving on with his life because he thinks Dean is dead.
Sam finding out he's a demon and has to do something to bring him back.
Dean gets pissed at Sam for doing whatever he had to do to bring him back.
Sam has side effects for whatever he did to bring Dean back.
Dean gets concerned, ask Castiel if there's anything he can do. There's not

Throw in a few hunts with Sam/Dean *****ing at each other. Wild ending with whatever Sam did coming about. End season.

I just described Season 10 for everyone. :o

But in all seriousness, I hope they plan everything accordingly and end series right.

The retrospective is making me think it is the last one.

I still have to catch up on 9 though. Heh. Still on Episode 11.

Lol the brothers fights are pretty much a staple of the show since Season 1. I think if this was the last they would've announced it by now much like other shows do.

This isn't the last season. As long as they get money (''people are interested"), they'll keep doing it. I think they stated it in one of the interviews.

D you guys think there's a theme for this season? And if so, what can you see them basing it off of? Season 6 was noir, 7 was Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, 8 was Raiders of the Lost Ark and 9 was Game of Thrones.

For 10 I can see them going "Crow". Maybe have Dean using his new powers on hunts and all. But GOD I hope they avoid the the same road. I don't want episodes of Sam arguing with Dean about him not using his powers or Dean telling Sam to not try and save him and blah blah blah. I would really like for them to just accept this and ride it out.

There's NO WAY Sam is gonna just accept his brother is a demon. He's gonna actively try to save him. Since they already established a cure for Demons in Season 8 all Sam has to do is restrain him and continuously inject him with human blood.

Dean isnt an ordinary demon. He's the leader of the Knights, possessor of the Mark of Cain and the First Blade, and this position of honor was made by Lucifer himself. We dont know that the cure will work on Dean. I just dont think its going to be as simple as injecting him with human blood.

Tidbits from the recent TV guide Comic Con Edition:

Was that a bit of human emotion we glimpsed in Crowley as he sat by Dean's body before that startling resurrection?

"That's not just residue of human emotion," Carver reveals. "When Crowley was shooting up human blood, whether they admit it or not, a kinship developed between these two. Call it humanity or call it friendship, it's definitely there."

"How will Sam feel about his older brother palling around with the King of Hell?"

"Crowley will have his hooks deep into Dean when the show returns," Singer notes. "Once Sam finds out the truth about Dean, he's just not going to have that!"

Can't The Winchesters just get along?

"The boys are in a pretty unique place when they go into Season 10," is all Carver will tease.

What's happening up in Heaven?

"How Cas will deal with his impending death and where he sees himself in the firmanent of Heaven and angels will be addressed in the first episode of the season," Carver promises. "Some angels are still down on earth. What those stragglers are doing could be interesting." And what about Metatron, who is now incarcerated in Heaven's dungeon? Have we seen the last of him? "Hell no," says Carver. "As long as Metatron is alive, I don't think his story is over yet."

So what's the big theme for the season?

"This might sound mysterious," says Carver, "but to me, Season 9 was about choosing the kind of person you wanted to be, like Cas deciding whether to stay human or become an angel again. I think Season 10 will be about everyone looking up and saying, 'You know what, I am what I am.' We'll see that play out in each and every character."

We'll be seeing Demon Dean this season — and staying with it for more than 1 ep. Also, it's a diff type of demon than you expect #SPN #TCA14

Well glad that it is confirmed it will won't be for just 1 episode. Because then what would have been the whole point of the First Blade. Surely they could have wrote something else to get rid of Abandon and not have had Dean die.

Info on the big 200th episode: update from TVline--It's called FAN FICTION and written by Robbie Thompson.

he CW hit is tackling a major first in Season 10: At the 2014 Summer TCA Press Tour, showrunner Jeremy Carver revealed to E! News that Supernatural's 200th episode will be something of a "musical-ish" episode, which the longrunning series has never done. Feel free to take a moment to bask in the sheer awesomeness of this idea."I think it'll be one of the more amusing and engaging episodes we've done in a while. I think we can safely call this a meta episode," Carver previewed of the milestone outing, which will be the fifth episode of the new season. "We're going pretty meta. I would just describe it as something of a love letter to our fans and there will be songs."

Of course, we had some immediate follow-up questions:
Are Jensen and Jared singing? "I cannot comment any further than that. [Laughs.]"
Will there be dancing? "Potentially."
is it just one song? "There will be more than one song."
Will they be original songs or covers? "There will be a little of both. It's just going to be real fun and it's a real celebration of the show and particularly the fans of the show."

Of course, Supernatural wouldn't be the first TV series to tackle a musical episode: Grey's Anatomy was the most recent series to get its song and dance on to mixed reviews, but the most famous musical episode, of course, was Buffy the Vampire Slayer's "Once More With Feeling." Other series to do musical episodes include Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother and Fringe.
Supernatural's 10th season premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 7 on the CW.

I feel like they are gonna go as crazy as humanely possible for this episode....

200th episode and they are gonna go with a musical-ish meta episode?

How about maybe doing a real serious mythology episode and not some filler episode.
