SUPERNATURAL Season 8!

I think we're gonna get some great stuff next season. New show runner, Dean in ________, Sam is alone, etc.

[blackout]I was so glad the monsters in Purgatory didn't look like humans, they actually looked like creepy monsters. Can't wait to see Dean get himself out of that. Do you guys think he'll meet Dick in his true form?[/blackout]

Let me guess what happens at season 8 by episode 5 or 6 Dean will get out thanks to some deal that Sam would have made (of course this will come at a price) however when Dean gets out he isnt quite the same person and something dark and sinister comes out with him.

I hope they are a little more creative then that. Good thing Gamble stepped down. She would leave or quite possible kill Castiel in purgatory

I think it was a bit early to start season 8 thread. Since not a lot of details are out. But I can't wait to see direction the season goes. If 8th isn't the end I hope to see good things. But when ever they do end I hope they will have advance time to plan end.

Let it be.

Do you guys think we might actually see God in S8, if it's the last Season?

God was in Swan Song. He was Chuck, as per Rob Benedict and Eric Kripke.

He was also that flicker that Sam saw that helped him overpower Lucifer.

I don't care what anyone says...that was God helping! Lol.

Well I wouldn't call season 8 not the end. When production hasn't started up at all. Maybe plans can change from pre production to production/season shooting. Like I said before we know nothing for the season. As for god I kinda like to see him, and other hand not see him.

God, Prophet... whatever. We still can't know for sure, he could've been God "in disguise" only saying he was a Prophet, or he could've been just a prophet.

I also think the same way, I do believe that was more or less God's intervention.

If they do include God in the show then I hope they keep him as powerful as he's been implied to be. It would suck for him to be somehow de-powered or something like that.

I wonder if angels go to purgatory when they die. If they do then I hope that Gabriel will pop up along the way :)

Angels are spiritual beings, if they die, they DIE (aka real death), there's nothing left to go anywhere. That would be silly . What if they are killed in Purgatory then? They die for the 3rd time and go somewhere else and so on? Get real! :whatever:

As for Purgatory, it's been explained that it's populated by monsters already. I doubt we'll find a demon or an angel then, remains to be see, especially if Castiel flew out of the purgatory when he left Dean at the end of Season 7. We'll see.

If the writers want them to go there they can have that happen since until now no one has ever come back from there so there is nothing that would in essence contradict that.

However, I do agree that as spiritual beings angels should perma die when killed. The same goes for demons killed with the knife and everything killed by the original colt. I just want to see Gabriel on the show again and having him pop up in purgatory seems like they only way to do that. Heck, you could even say that Lucifer didn't want to kill his brother and sent him there instead :)

I agree, the writers can do what they want of course, but that doesn't mean they need to create something which makes no sense.

And I like 2 see Gabe too, but I highly doubt he'll return, I think he's really dead. Also Lucifer stabbed him with the angel sword and we know that it kills angels, so if he wanted to sent him to Purgatory (if it's even possible), I think he would have.

New tidbits on season 8:

- Will season 8 hinge on Sam trying to save Dean from Purgartory? "No," Singer answers. An amount of time passes before Dean finds his way back from Purgatory (not specified how long). They're planning on doing various flashbacks through the season showing what happened and what Sam did in that time while Dean was away.

- Why use flashbacks? Because fans usually hate it when the brothers are separated, so that's why they're being reunited quickly.

- What about Castiel? They're still framing that out, but Cas will be back a number of times.

- Will Kevin the Prophet be back? "Kevin is an integral part of the year."

- What does Crowley want with Kevin? The King of Hell needs someone to read the word of God. "Every year we start with a theme -- this is our "Raiders of The Lost Ark" year. This season-long story will be a quest. It's about Kevin and the tablets and the Word of God."

- They would like guest characters like Sheriff Mills, Charlie and Garth back, but nothing is concrete yet. "And there's one new character that we're talking about. It's a monster that Dean meets in Purgatory."

- Who will be the big bad this season? It's another angels and demons year. "It's not apocalyptic but about who can gain control and keep demons in Hell or angels in Heaven."

- I know a lot of you have been waiting for this answer. I'll share the whole thing:

Former producer Jeremy Carver, who exec produced the U.S verison of Being Human, is returning to Supernatural as your new co-showrunner. Will fans notice anything different?

"No. Jeremy gave us a couple of years on the show, so I do think this season will be a little less earnest and a little more the kind of stuff we did in Seasons 2 and 3, before the weight of all the mythology got us."

I knew Crowley would want Kevin to read more Words of God. How much do you wanna bet that one of those is how to get to Heaven for demons?

Some sweet details there. And I so had the same feeling. Crowly probably wants control of heaven and god power for his own.

Also orb what's the source of the news. Been trying to locate where it came from.

Yay! Dean has a new buddy..... lol (aka HUMAN ofc, I wonder if we'll even see this "monster" doing anything with his powers)! Idk what to say, honestly. I'm not that excited of how this sounds and Crowley seems to be the main villain, he has charisma, but he lacks that sinister thing that I want to see in a demon. I'm also tired of *****ebag angels, other than Castiel, pretty much all them were *****e's (incl Balthazar, yes). Kev doesn't seem so exciting either, Chuck was a better Prophet , I\'m just not feelin Kev that much.

I'm still curious about the quest tho, haha! I hope there's more than meets the eye with this WORD OF GOD rock lol!

I wonder how Carver will adjust, going from being on Supernatural to Being Human and then back to SN again as the showrunner.

TV Line:
Supernatural Casts Sam's New Love Interest

Supernatural‘s Sam Winchester will have a new honey to help him through whatever fresh (and who knows, maybe literal) Hell Season 8 has in store.

The CW series has cast Liane Balaban in the recurring role of Amelia, who is described as “a tragedy-damaged soul” that “soon reveals herself to be a brave, sweet, smart, sarcastic woman.”

Balaban’s TV credits include a pair of Alphas episodes (playing a human “Rosetta stone” who knows every language on the planet) and guest-starring gigs on Covert Affairs (as Auggie’s Russian hacker ex-girlfriend) and NCIS: Los Angeles.

Supernatural Season 8 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 9/8c.

She will show up a few times. Only to never be seen again. Or she will just die in the same Season. Due to the Fan Girls. Like any other possible love interest for the boys

Females have always been this shows weak point so I am hoping they dont fail with this one.

Sheriff Mills is still alive. That's something.

Also info on Ep 2:

Episode 8.02 of Supernatural will be called "We Need To Talk About Kevin".

It will feature a new recurring guest star called "Benny" who masks a deep savagery.

I'm guessing Benny is the new monster Dean runs into in Purgatory.
