He can't come back from that one can be?
Of course...this is the most Supernatural thing ever!
Sam gets married, has a SON, of course but the wife is so unimportant that we only see a glimpse of her in the background.
And Dean just drives for a good 30 years?
Overall decent Series finale. Reminded me of The Vampire Diaries.
Loved the ending. I know many people will be upset with Dean's fate, but he's been predicting it since the first season. Sam's fate was great too. I'm okay that Sam's "wife" is an unknown. Frankly, it could be a few of the women that have showed up throughout the years.
I'm satisfied and sad to see one of my all time favorite shows go.
Im going to assume when/if they do a revival, something will happen in Heaven that allows Sam/Dean to come back to Earth.
So are we to expect that Sam gave up the hunting life for family life? I was half expecting to see him and his son fight off some supernatural beings.
Im betting it was Eileen they just couldnt get the actress back for Covid. They mentioned earlier they couldnt get certain actors back for the last two episodes.
Overall it was basically a epilogue with pretty fitting ends for Sam and Dean. I liked the touch they did with time dilation in heaven. I appreciated the final 4th wall break
I feel like I remember Dean telling Sam to stop hunting right before he was killed by the hellhounds way back in Season 3 (or 4?).
I’m going to watch the final tonight but honestly I stopped watching in season 6 and haven’t watched since despite loving the first 5 seasons. So basically I want to just see how it all ends. I’m glad that you guys who stuck with the show for 15 years are satisfied with the ending. The only show I watched that long is Smallville for 10 years and soon Shameless which is going on to its 11th and The Walking Dead. Anyway carry on.....
I think the finale is actually pretty easy for a former fan to jump straight into. It could take place after any season really that didnt involve a cliffhanger.
It still amazes me that back in the day before the CW this show was always on the bubble so as a former viewer that fact that this show lasted this long I think amazes me and I think a lot of people lol.
I really liked the finale. It was a fitting ending for these two characters. Also kind of fitting that Dean dies during a routine vampire hunt.
I wonder if sending Sam to Texas was a shout out to Jared now starring in Walker (which I find him very attractive again in)
damn... well that is free will for yah.
Dean would have bit it long ago if Chuck was not writing their life.
Didn't he give it up that Limbo season when he was with that weird girl they brought in for a bit. He tried the normal family life for a bit.
Eileen and Rowena seem like they couldn't comeback. Eileen has been his main lady the last few seasons so thinking she would be his. She disappeared but would have comeback.
I know it’s been a CW show after season 3 when it was a WB show but now that’s it’s over it’s the final leftover show from that WB era that’s on the CW. I think One Tree Hill was before it so it’s the end of an era more ways than one.
Ok so I watched the finale and I thought it was pretty good.
Kudos to Supernatural for outlasting the WB BY FOURTEEN YEARS!
The finale wasn't what I expected.
But,I liked it.
Congratulations to all those involved.
And, THANK YOU!
It was an OK ending. I'm glad Sam and Dean ended up together at least. Better than some finales I could name.
I’m definitely going to miss this show. It was one of the few shows on the CW that didn’t involve a bunch of teenagers acting like they’re adults or something that tried to push a PC message. It looks like Walker might be in a similar vain so I’ll give that one a shot.
This is true. He probably would have stayed in "the normal family life" if Dean hadn't come back too.
It's really weird that people are upset with Dean's fate. They've literally been teasing it for 15 years!!! They had a whole episode about it.
The only thing that felt off was the lack of guest stars. I’m sure JDM would have come back if not for the COVID restrictions.
It just occurred to me that the writers gave Dean a "last meal" of Pie.
