Talk about upcoming games that you're looking forward to.

I was looking at the PS3 2008 line up and while I had looked at it before I was pretty much skimming the names. This time I actually took the time to look at each game, there are some amazing games coming out for all consoles soon and many I didn't even realize would be something I'd care about. So I thought I'd make a thread, but didn't want it to be PS3 exclusive, where you can name the kick ass games coming out that you want. This way ppl (like me) who haven't been paying attention can see the names and hear why these games are so great.

Of course I'm looking forward to the usual, MGS4, FFXIII, FFXIII vs, SF4, and so on. However looking at one of the newer videos I saw RE5 a few weeks ago and am now looking forward to it.

However I do have one question, I saw a clip on a game called Afrika. The graphics are amazing, and it shows a guy with a camera. So what's it about? Are you making a documentary in Afrika? No guns, just peaceful filming of stunning digital copies of real animals or something?

Edit - Also feel free to talk about obscure games you think will be awesome but don't have a thread or are being overlooked. Because at this point I think all the major games have their own thread.


Also Star Ocean 2 is my 3rd favorite RPG of all time, I hear the 4th is coming out soon. So can anyone tell me if they enjoyed the 3rd, did it keep the feeling of 2 or go in the wrong direction so I know what to expect of 4.

I'm looking forward to so many games right now its unbelieveable.

With the release of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, I'm dying to see more on that new Indy game.

Also a big Aliens fan so Colonial Marines is exciting to me.

Little Big Planet looks to be incredible, really pumped for that one.

Resident Evil 5 with the announcement of co-op especially.

MotorStorm Pacific Rift, FINALLY featuring split-screen.

Alone in the Dark has some incredible ideas behind it too.

Oh and a little game called MGS4.

Im dying to play Brothers in Arms : Hells Highway. There are others of course, but that will be coming out in Aug and the others im looking forward to wont be coming out til the holiday's or later, but they would be Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Ghostbusters, Resident Evil 5, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Codemasters official F1 game and of course the next game in the Hitman series thats in development right now.

I didn't really like half life 2 or halflife episode 1, but half life episode 2 was surprisingly good, it kinda felt more rooted to halflife (1), so half life episode 3.

Metal Gear solid 4 if I can hijack my brothers ps3 for a week

Mostly though Dragon Age, the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate.

Spore kinda tweaked my interest when seeing the stage preview.

Empire: Total War looking good also, hopefully they add more to it than they did with Medieval II: Total War, that kinda just felt like the same game under a diffrent skin.

I completely forgot about Aliens, thnx for the reminder. Aliens vs. Predator 2 I think it was (would have to dig out the disk) was one of my favorite mp pc games for a long time. The survival mode where when killed by an alien you turn into one and hunt down the rest of the humans is by far my favorite mode in that game (and would work well in a zombie mp game too). If this game can capture the fun of that, up the scary factor a bit with a solid story, it's a buy.

I'm looking forward to Rock Band/GH4 (but depends if I will actually get a 360/PS3 later because Wii has no DLC), Star Wars: Unleashed, and Ghostbusters for Wii. For PC, I'm waiting for Starcraft 2, Spore, and Warhammer Online (but I might still stay with WOW instead).
