Aw, come on, no comments on my theories?
That's been suggested before. It could also have followed Zod's ship from the explosion of Krypton.
Ah, ok. That's also a valid explanation. What do you think of Holly Hunter as a scientist?
That's fine, I'm sure she could act many different roles they have planned for her, and I'd be impressed if they cast an attractive white woman as a scientist, would be more progressive than movies like Pacific Rim.
More interesting is the question of what role if any STAR Labs will play in the DCCU.
Dunno, maybe STAR Labs are experimenting with Zods body?
And of course, they could be the discoverers of Kryptonite?
A good option. There are so many choices, Goyer and Terrio should just pick one and do it properly.
The fan theory that circulated a while back was that Lex Luthor recovered the Genesis chambers, and the movie will finish with him creating an army.
Hey, thanks. Yeah, so maybe HH plays a medical examiner from STAR Labs. Doing an "alien autopsy". Im guessing STAR Labs have ME and i see on Wikipedia that they have an office in Gotham. Hmm, that could be how Batman gets involved somehow? Maybe they recieve funding from Bruce Wayne?
Count me in with those that don't think all three are "original" characters. I think telling us their titles spoils some of the mystique in this movie.
Let's announce Mulvey as John Corbin.... yeah, that doesn't give much away.
Kryptonite was shown when the BZ traveled to earth.
Don't think so. If anyone can is Lex Corp. And Don't think Superman would let them to keep Zod's body. I think he will do the honors in some unreachable place.
Agreed. but what if Mulvey is Hawkman or Aquaman?
No. No Hawkman, no Aquaman. No more superheroes in this movie.
Anyway, if Mulvey isn't a villain, I would be very, very surprised. If not Metallo, then Parasite or a minor Bat villain like Clayface.
Or maybe he'll go by Robin Corben until a receptionist calls him John at the end.
Mulvey is a villain I'm convinced and It's Metallo.
If the follow the route of Earth 1. I would see him as Parasite also.
what's his super power? hawking water bottles in central park?
some points: I don't think Clark would allow humans to have their way with Zod's body.
he would either bury it where no one could find it ( like the moon or something) or throw it into the sun.
as for the kryptonite it could well be that it was used as the energy source for the Kryptonian ships and weapons. Or it followed either of the crafts to Earth. So it is possible that it was salvaged by Lex and maybe even Wayne. For that matter maybe the Themyscrians had some (from long ago?) and it came up missing that's why Diana is spying around.
even though he's supposed to be playing a original character. it's sill an awesome manip that i found.
Kryptonite wasn't the power source that I know. If you notice in the Zod's intro speech to Kal we can see rests of Krypton traveling with the BZ.
Dude looks great that.
Just watched The Winter Soldier. I was paying attention to Callan Mulvey the whole time lol. While he was in the movie quite a lot, he literally had two words, so I was a bit disappointed because I wanted to see if he was a good actor or not. Still loved the movie!
Anywho, he certainly has the look of the menacing bad guy. I think he's no original creation, but a known supes baddy.
Latino Review thinks Holly's playing Leslie Thompkins, or a similar character.
I'd be down for it. She's the only other parental figure aside from Alfred who's guided him the longest. And strong female figures are strongly lacking in the live-action Batman series.
Maybe they are on to something and they did that as a similar character so some won't say she's too youthful looking to play Leslie Thompkins.
Im still thinking she's a scientist.
Tao Okamoto is Mercy Graves
Callan Mulvey is Metallo
Holly Hunter is Leslie Thompkins
that could definitely be the case. i'm thinking the discovery of Kryptonite will definitely play a part in this film. she seems like she would do well in a role like Leslie Thompkins though.
Casting Hunter as Thompkins would kinda mirror the recent May Parker/Sally Field and Martha Kent/Diane Lane castings.
