Obviously there will be more movies released, but these are the big ones that the studios and marketing companies have info slated for. So these will be the biggest contenders for that month. Which of these will cause TDK to slip from the #1 spot for July?


It looks to me like TDK will have July 2008 at the #1 spot the entire month... that would be amazing.

No, that's not what my source says. It's slated for a July 2008 release. And she's very reliable. So, until I see proof of otherwise, it will be released in theaters.

Im not doubting you, but I've stuff myself. It's never been confirmed or denied that Dark Crystal 2 is in a turnaround. I could be wrong..it's possible that there's some finanical trouble and perhaps, the movie would have to get pushed back.

I just haven't heard anything about it. It's becoming what chud.com calls...'a vapor movie'.

There are 31 days in July and TDK is being released on the 18th. It doesn't qualify for the entire month. There's only one other Friday in July after TDK.

Can't wait for Hellboy 2. And with Pan's Labyrinth under his belt as well as the great reviews for the first movie, it could be a decent hit. I think it will be deserved as well, it sounds like it's shpaning up to be, just like TDK, a better sequel to a great origin movie.

Hmm, good point. Well, at least we know it'll take the opening weekend. As if we didn't already. But with this competition, it could take $150 million in the opening weekend.

That's the list of July's Blockbusters 2008 looks really sucky... TDK will be the only movie from that list I'll see in cinema, I might see Hellboy 2.
