Time to see the funny side of things. After all, (S)Laughter is the best medicine, am I right? So what bloopers/goofs did you find in The Dark Knight?

& a new word I'd like to pass down as well. What I'd like to call *Dr. Evil quotation fingers*

"Joker Funny/Funnies"

*opens Bat dictionary* This means:

*ahem*

A moment captured from the 2008 film The Dark Knight of The Joker, which is deemed funny, hilarious, interesting, or flat-out priceless because of facial expressions, the different context that can be taken from it, or the laughter that ensues from simply glancing at the pic. Not to be confused with cutting down Heath Ledger's brilliant portrayal of The Joker, but to show how amazing he is able to do under "all that makeup" and how much we love it. Can apply to other characters in The Dark Knight as well, and can also be referred to as a "TDK Funny", a "(TDK character) Funny", or simply "a Funny".

Here are a few goofs I've been able to spot so far!:

"Camera crew! You're in the shot! Oh bloody hell." - Christopher Nolan

Rachel Dawes' recasted once more! .....or no it's just her stuntwoman :P

This is kind of silly (and an example of a 'Funny'), but I don't know what's going on with these extras. I would have called "Cut!" (Particularly the "ORLY?" look guy in the middle, and the one just behind him *laugh* what kind of face do you call that?)

Another example of a 'funny'

Behold, Bat-Cat!

The dramatic return of falafel?

And Sing-along Joker! (or a suggestive pic if you use your imagination *clears throat*)

So let's see what everyone can dig up!

Wow I need to avoid these threads that analyze every shot, mainly for the cameras in the interrogation. The others are great though, that one extra especially. :)

The O'rly guy and his spastic friend are priceless.

I noticed these a while ago in my TOTALLY not bootlegged digital copy and im now too lazy to re-cap them so deal with the mediocre images

and just a funny one of the mayor squinting in anticipation of fake-bats hitting the window

My favorite extra was the one who looked a bit like Tobey Maguire with tears in his eyes during the Dent speech. Even Spidey showed up and was, of course, in tears.

Wait...he survived? I've seen this film a lot but I never noticed that...

I noticed that in the theater. :oldrazz:

But anyway, I find that rewatching the Slaughter truck chase is a fascinating analysis of editing, since it involves 3 major vehicles and has to show the relationships between each one.

For example: Joker prepares to fire RPG at SWAT truck, cut to Harvey Dent looking concerned (OH NOES GOOD GUY IN TROUBLE), cut to Batman getting the Tumbler to fly over and take the impact (HERO TO THE RESCUE YAY). Joker's truck gets firey bits all over it, Tumbler is all messed up and spewing fire everywhere, SWAT truck stops so it doesn't lose control (UH OH GOOD GUYS ARE IN TROUBLE). Batman's efforts do not go in vain, since the SWAT truck gets started again, but it isn't out of the woods yet since Joker gets the Slaughter truck started again too. Batman attempts to rejoin the fray but oh noes his car is ruined! Joker gets right behind SWAT truck, SWAT truck tries to escape by getting out of the underpass, but Joker is right behind it! And cackling evilly. Another last shot of the SWAT truck trying to drive away (HELP!) and then Batman comes to the rescue once more by ejecting out with the Batpod. :woot:

I do not look for poorly hidden camera crews or boom mikes. :oldrazz:

Guy on the right's wedgie :woot::

If you look at this shot frame for frame it seems as though the goon never hit his head on the table.

Ahhh you son of a gun!

I swear that was going to be in my next batch of photos for you all! :oldrazz:

Yeah in this pic it makes me wonder how much they rehearsed the magic trick

Hehe sorry dawg.

But yeah it doesn't seem to be a foam table or anything, so either his head is hard as a rock or it never hit the table. Movie magic...

No it's cool man haha. Glad you found that too.

Something else pretty interesting to me. But when Gordon first enters the cell area where The Joker's being held, Joker is sitting in an incredibly familar pose. It's the same pose he was in from that Empire magazine cover. It's almost like they copied and pasted that image into the cell and there he is :hehe: *The Joker is also sitting in almost a completely new pose/position anytime the camera goes back to him as well*

I remember seeing you mention that, never saw it side-by-side like that. Great find (and screencaps)!
