Urm... let me know if I'm wrong or this has been discussed about the sides before.

The scene with the prosecutor and a witness named rossi... in the sides. Could it be the scene of Dent's acid scarring?

idk if anyone has posted this idea yet...but consider:

Grumpy is Joker
Chuckles is a Goon
Grumpy shoots Chuckles/somehow gets out of the gun situation
Grumpy is the last goon left, and reveals himself as the Joker to the bank manager

They are working for Scarecrow.

I got that idea because they kept referencing "guys harder than us are afraid of him" etc.

I actually think Scarecrow works for The Joker, and The Joker works for Maroni.

Joker works for no one. Not Maroni, and definatley not Scarecrow. He's his own guy, and the goons work for him. What they dont know is that he's amongst them in disguise.

Also, my guess is that Joker is neither Grumpy nor Chuckles, however if he is one of them, he's Chuckles.

the guy in the back of the picture probably isn't even pointing his gun at the guy in the front. It's blurry, but it kinda looks like he's pointing it at someone else, perhaps in that same general direction.

They're talking about The Joker in that scene, I believe.

And your probably right, Katsuro. Joker's most likely on his own, or else they would have mentioned it in the summary that he works for Maroni or something like that.

It would be pretty lame for Joker to just be a pawn in his first appearance. Sure, later on down the line you can have him as just a part of a bigger scheme (like Hush), but his first appearance has to be huge and epic.
