I didn't see one of these, but since I wore my suit to the Tumbler Tour now that it's finished and adjusted, I was curious who else was costuming either in general (to cons, the film, etc.) or if anyone was doing something just for the midnight, even if it's just a shirt, clothing ensemble, let's see it!

Now, in this photo I realize the cape was mispositioned and my eye makeup was melting off (I wasn't prepared for it being 110 outside, but I had to go either way).

I'll have better photos during this week from SDCC!

Thank you, I promise that this isn't what it looks like normally. I was a bit under the weather and like I said, the heat wasn't exactly friendly for Bats. I can't wait to show you guys photos from SDCC this week! I'm hoping to run into other Nolanverse costumers as well as standard DC folks, but it'd be nice to get some shots with a Bane, Catwoman or Jim Gordon from the films.

I was thinking of wearing my Ledger Joker suit, but it's July and above 100f most days. I'm not sure if the heavy wool coat is a good idea. I'll end up in the back of an ambulance before the movie starts. I may just do the rest of the suit and leave the coat at home.

BTW, that's one of the best looking Batman suits I've seen.

I don't have any costumes (there's really no reason for me to get one), so I'll just wear a random Batman shirt. I don't have anything TDKR-themed.

I hear you! I actually started out as a Ledger!Joker costumer! :D I wore it back in '08 for the TDK midnight and I had to layer up on theatre grade make up sealer to keep it solid from the sweat, it took like three showers to get it off? It was insane.

Thank you! I can't wait to wear it in San Diego this week, it's going to be so cool outside there compared to here.

Do you change your voice in the suit?

I feel like I kind of have to, haha. When I did Joker, which I did for years now, I always went with the full Ledger voice which I perfected over time. I got the mannerisms down, the little quirks, etc. and it honestly drove the people I roomed with at cons mad because I just disappeared in front of them and this crazy character came out.

But in short : Yes I definitely do the voice.

I do the walk, etc. it made my day when an older woman yelled "HE WALKS AND TURNS JUST LIKE HIM!" after me when I had to walk to a separate area of the Tumbler Tour setup, it's little comments similar to that, along with reactions from adults AND kids that make standing out in 100 degree weather totally painless, that and wearing this suit is a dream come true for me..

That must be a great experience. I've been thinking about a Joker costume for years now, but I wouldn't know where to go with it.

It's amazing, it's definitely going to be my primary cosplay from here on out. It's a lot of work to get in and out of, but the more I wear it the more it becomes natural to move around in.

Just get an idea of which Joker you want to do, research (even just googling is a great start) how to put together each piece OR commission someone to help. Then just run with it, obviously with Joker you'll be doing quite a bit of make up tutorials (I still know how to do TDK Joker's make up because I practiced so often) and how you want to do the hair (When I was doing it for a big event, I would always bleach my hair blonde like Ledgers and streak in the green to get the exact look). It's a process but it's well worth it.

Texan, how did you do your scars? I went with rigid collodion, liquid latex and wax skin last time, but I'd like to go all out and order gelatin or silicone scars next time.

I'm pretty confident about the make-up, as I've been watching tutorials for years. My hair lends itself perfectly for Ledger's Joker. I don't think it would be much trouble getting everything together, but what next? What's the point of all that work if I can't show it off somewhere?

I did prosthetics the first time I did it, which worked great, but after that I also went the rigid collodion route. The prosthetics worked out the best honestly, if/when I do it full out again, I am going to do that again.

Well, you're set for every Halloween, New Years, convention and movie premier for the rest of your life! And the rest of the time, it hangs in your closet and calls out to you to put it on.

I'm jealous of your hair. I've got a high & tight cut most of the time, and my hair is very straight if I let it grow, so I was ledger joker with a buzz cut.

That's the thing, though. People here don't celebrate Halloween like they do in the US. We usually don't even dress up. We have NO comic book related conventions, and dressing up to a movie premiere is considered idiotic. So yeah :oldrazz:

I attend SDCC and Wondercon yearly along with a few smaller local events in between, so that's where I costume the most. I also do it for the film/game releases, etc. But I don't know when the next Bat title will be out, though I am hoping for some news from Rocksteady about a third Arkham title soon.

I feel you. Halloween is my only occasion, normally. No cons near me, except maybe Dallas, TX. I can't say that dressing up for a movie wouldn't be considered idiotic here either, but that probably wouldn't stop me. :woot:

I'll be heading out to get my Catwoman shirt from HT today along with a free poster, so I am envious of your wardrobe!

I attend conventions in the Dallas area! I am doing Fan Days in October most likely.

I plan on dressing like one of Bane's henchmen, should the temp not be to hot that day.

Great shirt, AnneFan! That's been my favorite promo shot of her so far.

Which Catwoman design will you buy?
Indeed, I like that pose a lot. Hands on her hip, gun raised and dressed in a catsuit equals the ultimate Bond girl.
