Teachers drop the Holocaust to avoid pissing Muslims off

As a Muslim and as an educated American, I do believe in the Holocaust.

What I do have a problem believing is that 6 million jews were exterminated as there wouldn't be any left. There were many victims of the Nazi regime and I also have a problem that these groups are ignored and the Holocaust is portrayed as only a Jewish tragedy. It was in fact a Human tragedy of epic proportions.

This is where some of the animosity and skepticism concerning the Holocaust originates from not only some Muslims but from many many Gentiles.

Jewish people in entertainment?
Unheard of!

Now, Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't all those crazy white people, to use the phrase used before, lead by a man named "Adolf Hitler"? If I remember my history correctly, Hitl'ers mother was a Jew, right? And if I remember my theology correctly, Judaism is passed down maternally, meaning if your mother was Jewish, you are considered Jewish. IS that correct?

Now if these two facts are correct, wasn't one of the worst things to happen to the Jewish people in history in fact lead by a Jew?

Oh, and to anti-semitic christians out there, whoever you maybe. Get a fecking clue! Jesus was Jewish! Mary was Jewish! *****.

Muslims can go **** themselves. if they don't like the class then they can take the F for not doing the work or showing up.

history is real and you can't change it by *****ing and moaning.

Well, I'm a Muslim, and as a Muslim, I'll just say, I've never told fundamentalist Christains to go "****" themselves. I'm more tolerant than you are, and that just goes to show that you can't generalize Muslims like this. I have no compulsion to get pissed off or antagonized by what is taught in schools, or what boards insert into their curriculum. I'm secure in my beliefs, sport.

Stop badmouthing "Muslims". Certain sects deserve it, I know. But don't brand us all.

So,,,, what number would make you feel better? 3 mil?? Two???
A couple grand??

And how do you know that there would be none left????

Cant we just get along?

do you have to be muslim to have a problem with the amount of jews dying?

Whatever happened to the whole "If we don't study history, we are doomed to repeat it" thing? I'm going to start the church of 1+1 does not equal 2, teach my kids that and see if they'll take that out of the curriculum.
1+1=3 dur.:o

You're just being a bigoted Muslim hater!! That's why you posted this.

why can't you differentiate between Muslims and Muslim Fundamentalists?
is it something you do consciously? or is bigotry so ingrained into your head, you actually think you are being logical?

I mean, cuz it's weird.

I teach history and this saddens me

today, we were looking at the different artistic genres that spurred during the rennisance (sp) in my 8th grade world history class, I asked them to read their text books and give me a report with the characteristics of each genre, their main exponents, the most important works in that genre and other stuff. a girl in the class came to my desk to ask me what does "characteristics" mean, as an example I asked her do describe me a car, thus giving me the DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS of a car, all she was able to say was "it has mirrors, and tires"

people nowadays really don't know how to think, so these types of actions don't surprise me anymore

W-wow. Y-you have to be joking. Please tell me that's a joke.

For European Christians it was due to the fact that they believed the Jews were responsible for the death of Christ. Due to that they weren't allowed in guilds during the middle ages, so the Jews ended up becoming masters in one of the few professions they were left with (banking and rare gems) hence the stereotype of Jews being greedy and good with money.

Added to that,it was Europeans that introduced their hate of the Jews to the middle east..i think shortly before the middle ages.Because of this, the Jews have become the most hated race on Earth.

I am a Christian. While I don't believe that Islam worships the same God, I do believe that everyone is entitled to their beliefs. One thing I can do is stand by him when he says don't brand us all. There's an old saying for religion that I learned at Seminary. "Don't judge a belief by it's abuses."

Christians and Muslims as well as Jews do in fact worship the same God, they just do it differently. The God is the same, the beliefs are not.

Read the Qur'an sometime.....you will find many of the same stories from the old testament of the Christian bible.

Whether they're the same God is debatable due to many factors. For instance, the relationship between God and Jesus varies a little from denomination to denomination. Also a lot of key history changes happen through out our religious history. We worship SIMILAR Gods, but not necessarily the same.

It can besaid that we all worship a single benevolent, ominipotent, omnicient Diety.

Doesn't mean its not the same God, that is a difference in the belief about Christ, not God....uda

Judaism--Christ is a crazy man. Christians -- The Messiah. Muslims -- Prophet to Christians. Difference in Christ not, God.

Did Abraham worship 3 different Gods? Because all 3 religions trace their ancestry back to him.

You see, that's my point. I didn't say the different denominations differed on their views of Jesus, but on the relationship between Jesus and God.

A good for instance: Catholicism. Jesus is the son of God, seperate and distinct. Jesus also IS God, on in being with the Father, along with the Holy Spirit. For us, God is three fold, He is one being, but he has three aspects we recognize: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Seperate beings, but all part of the same God. I doubt that jives well with the Muslim or Judaic teachings.

From what I know of Islam, they believe Jesus was simply a prophet of Allah, however his GREATEST prophet was Mohammed.

I'm sure the Muslims on our board to answer better than myself, but the way I see I've read it, Jesus is a prophet to the Christians, Muhammad is not necessarily the "greatest" prophet, but the "last" prophet, and the prophet to Muslims.

So do Mormon's worship a different God?
