And they are just characters, characters with history regarding the Punisher, doesn't mean **** regarding the movie being based on so and so comic.

Look if the director wants to come and say what was used as influence to the movie like Hensleigh did, I'll buy it, but the only thing I've been hearing is Punisher MAX.

I like it a lot. They seem to be going The Inredible Hulk and just making it an entertaining movie

Aside from the casting and the Bradstreet-esque posters, I honestly think they've made the wrong choices with this thing, the director*, the lighting, the script. I find myself becoming more and more underwhelmed.

*It has nothing to do with the director being a woman, when you got Walter Hill saying he wants to make your movie and you turn him down for a director that's made one film that frankly was pretty mediocre, it kinda baffles me.

Green Street Hooligans was mediocre? I thought it rocked. I don't mind the lighting, looks stylish to me. The script? Have you read the Marcum & Holloway rewrite? Did you read the shooting script? I enjoyed the Lexi Alexander script, imagine how much better the Iron Man writers made it.

I read the Lexi script I thought it was crap, and the teaser showed enough to say that not much was really changed, a bit of dialouge here and there some action beats that's it. There wasn't some massive rewrite to the thing.

Also, Marcum & Hollway's script for Iron Man was so-so, that movie was as good as it was because of RDJ. And they weren't the only ones to write that movie.

OK, I finally got to see the HD trailer on a big screen in 5.1 Dolby Surround. It's definitely a different experience. I saved the HD trailer to a flash drive and played it on my Xbox360 through our surround sound system. I have to say on a big screen with a great sound system the trailer is actually pretty cool. I highly recommend viewing the trailer this way. I hope they release a red band trailer in HD so I can watch it on the big tv.

I don't know if anyone noticed this yet but there's a shot of Jigsaw looking up at the building in the teaser but also, right after at the 20 second mark you can see him standing up on the right side of the table with the guys on the opposite end pulling out their weapons. Sorry I can't provide a still but check it out here:

There are stills of both those shots in the Punisher War Zone Gallary thread.

OK, I just notice this while flipping through Kitchen Irish. So this whole, it's lite to look like the comic, really is coming off as BS.

I'm not sure if I understand your post. Also, it's only one picture?

You think it's any diffrent in the rest of the comic...?

I think what he's trying to say is: "THIS MOVIE IS GONNA SUCK!!!"

....which I'm pretty sure he's said a million times. We get it. You think it will suck. Next topic.

I honestly wish that people would give this movie a chance. I have to edmit, I wasn't a fan of the idea from the beginning because people were saying the script was bad and what not but, I'm always willing to give a film a chance and I think it's fair to give this one a chance. The only films that don't deserve a chance are movies with the word "Movie" in the title or in any relation with them whatsoever.

The Punisher has had 2 chances already and missed the mark both times. I'm not getting myself pumped up again for another let down.

If Tom Jane's low budget slapstick version of the Punisher made it to theaters, this film surely will. What is so hard about adapting this character? The Punisher should be the EASIEST comic book property to adapt to the big screen, but yet we have three Punisher films now and all of them seem to be lacking.

Good question.

Maybe this character simply doesn't have enough to make a great film out of. It seems people have really set their expectations high with this reboot and are more than disappointed with the over the top gun play action film it seems the film is going for.

I heard quite a few references to Heat in the Punisher boards an on other sites on the net and yet, the people in charge can't seem to make the connection. Heat+mob film+Punisher=great potential for a film.

You have to wonder sometimes about the people that make films; do they even think reasonably and wonder if their ideas are good or are they so ego driven optimistic that they think their ideas are golden and can't fail at the box office. Did anyone even broach the idea of a "greater" Punisher film? Or was this film essentially made so that LG can retain the rights from Marvel?

Add this film to all the other also ran comicbook films...

Yeah, it turns out looking back at the comics that they aren't as colorful as being claimed. So making that excuse for the colorful lighting in the movie is coming off as ********.

I actually like the left side better.:woot:

I'm pretty sure Eric Norris and Jeff Curro had something to do with that

I actually did start out giving this movie a chance, but as time went on and started learn more and more **** from the production, it started to dwindle down, then the teaser trailer hit and I'm almost at the point of indifference with this movie. If the next trailer does nothing for then I'll go into full on indifference, and wait to see it on cable.

I got no problem with the colours in the movie/trailer...

beating a dead horse indeed.

i've already posted a bunch of images from the max comics that show the use of the color scheme they're using in warzone. yeah, it's not in every single panel and on every page, but it's there. i'm guessing the film will be similar, with some scenes using more of the colors than others... so... it's not ********.

It's one thing to have a panel or two with some color like red in it, and the scene in the teaser with the flare is fine. But it's another to have a neon/sulfur yellow tint in what looks to probably be alot the outside scenes and making the movie look like The Crow II. I don't care if it's a dead horse, I still think it looks pretty crappy.

Another thing I am wondering about is why those pictures look like that on the blog. Take the Frank in the car one, in the one from the comic he looks normal and the other one from the blog he looks like an Oompa-Loompa that's seen way too much **** in his life.
