Could have been really cool, but I'm soooooooo happy we got Raimi's version. I think CGI was needed for Spidey.

Decent for the time, but I agree w/Hero12. I think one big reason why it took us so long to get Marvel movies made is because Stan's imagination was so far ahead of the fx technology available at the time.

Yeah, I guess it probably would have been alright for Cannon standards. Did you ever hear about the very first draft for their Spider-Man movie and how badly they messed it up?

Yep they didn't even bother to look up the character and instead wrote a script that was more like the "the fly" only with a spider.Stan Lee demanded they overhaul the entire script.

I didn't know that. But what I do know is that this same studio gave us Masters Of The Universe.
