thats exactly the type of teaser I always thought many months ago.

A misterious teaser with some impressive shots of the apocalyptic future and the sense of a sentinel with a quick shot of the main group would be more than enough to get us all crazy excited and hungry for more.

That would have been an actually real teaser, with the full trailer coming around this time, October/November.

Just a short teaser with one simple group shot of Storm, Wolverine, Bishop, Rogue, Iceman, Kitty and Blink would have put my hype on 500%

The trailer is for both fans and GA who weren't at comic con.

The key characters are going to be spotlighted here. That's both versions of Xavier and magneto,Wolverine,Mystique,Beast, and Trask.

Storm,Kitty,Iceman, and Rogue are very likely to be seen In trailer although not as well as
key characters. They are important to film but not as much as those above.

Bishop and Quicksilver are likely new characters to be seen apart from trask.

If it followes the comic con preview shots of Blink, warpath, and Sunspot may be inclured
but they may be just quick shots.

Unknown if returning characters Colossus and Havok will be In trailer.

Although coming from some here they would say who cares about them they aren't new.

i can see kitty helping take down a sentinel by distracting them, i can't see her taking any down solo

just because decades of X-men comics have shown different ways these characters can destroy sentinels doesn't mean singer gonna look for them, he will most likely just use his imagination

Agreed. Looking forward to what they do with those three the most right now as far as character power wise.

Edit:...and Iceman. Man, this film has so much potential with powers and fights this go around.

    yeah, Iceman too definetly!

Actually, my top three would be Rogue, Iceman and Colossus/Blink. well, these are 4, lol.

I have a strong feeling that Iceman is gonna shine in a big way in this movie

i hope iceman shines the most in the future tbh, he was always one of my favorite characters along with bishop, cyclops and beast

even though i don't agree with what they have done with his character when it comes to kitty and rogue, seems abit jerkish

I liked the Kitty and Iceman pair up more then Iceman and Rogue so that never bothered me. But I can see that pov.

Ice sliding is a pretty distinct power move that we have yet to see on screen in any live action comic film. Done well, that can look pretty friggen awesome and be a scene stealer.

totally agree about the ice sliding, its a big potential scene stealer.

As I said in another topic, kids and young audience would LOVE it.

Keep in mind, filming has been completed since the comicon trailer, so much more can be added as a treat for those that attended and have seen the leaked portion. Something new for everyone.

Uh, filming continued for close to a month after Comic Con, so no, it wasn't finished.

^ that's what he's saying. Filming is complete NOW so there's plausibly more stuff to show. Filming wasn't complete when they aired the comic con trailer.

That's a self defeating statement if ever there was one. A good writer/director can get points across without slamming you in the head with their message. I hope Singer has learned to do this as the man has talent. But I am not going to pretend I don't have major doubts about it based on what has come before.

I should hope not. I've been very vocal over the years about this franchise's shortcomings.

Hmmm I didn't really get excited about Captain America 2 trailer because there's only 1 *new* character that was shown in the trailer that is visually interesting to me and thats Falcon. I have already seen pics of Winter Soldier from the set so that wasn't new to me and he's not really a new character since he already appeared in the 1st movie, he just wasn't Winder Soldier yet.

And you can't really compare a 6-seconds snippet to a 2 minute trailer.

I honestly think that whatever heavy handedness is there is the least of this franchise's problems. I'm not trying to dismiss your opinion though.

Well it's a major point of contention for me with the whole franchise up to this point. But that's my subjective taste we're talking about here. It certainly seems like many around here and elsewhere enjoy getting slammed with messages in these films and to them I say, good for you...wish I could enjoy these films as much as you do.

And yes, this isn't the only problem the franchise has(continuity screw ups is another) but to me it's the biggest one since it comes off as insulting like they think I wouldn't get it if they didn't do it this way.
