Should the doctors have the parents permition to let thier daughter have an abortion???

I say "yes"

:ninja:

Hell no, If it was the teen's fault but if she was raped then still keep teh child but put it up for adoption.

o_O

I agree its the teen stupidity...but why shouldn't they get parents permision? (sp?)

Nope, I don't think they should have to, it's their body, their baby, their consequence :o

I don't think thats the parents decision to make. Its not their body, and they aren't the ones who put themselves in that predicument.

Although it would be nice to congratulate her as she walked through the door.

kthnx

No, actually I want you to waste your time proving what you just said to me...

k double thx

I think that it is an individual decision. Abortion has always been a hard issue for me....because sure, I can think "yeah, killing your own baby is wrong," but then I think about how I'd feel if I got pregnant. Especially for those teenage girls, having a child really would mess up their future.

Oops.....didn't read the post and voted No by mistake...I personally think that they shouldn't have abortions period. But since I have feeling that will never happen....I think that if a girl should need anyone's permission they should need the fathers. The babe is just as much the guys as it is the gals.
I'd freak if I got a girl pregnant and she wanted to kill off the kid. (But its not like I'm having sex with anyone anyway. So no worries eh).

Hey its not like I'm not working on it.:woot:

The better question is should teenagers be required to alert their parents that they intend to go forward with an abortion, regardless of their consent?

Mistakes happen though, and it's not always from "screwin' some random guy." This could easily happen with a person they have been dating and who loves them. However, sex education in the US is NOT what it should be, so a lot of these girls don't have access to birth control because they're afraid to talk to their parents, and aren't aware of organizations such as Planned Parenthood. Condoms are easy to buy, but just don't offer full protection.

Right, and there are plenty of people who share your opinion. I used to feel that way myself. However, do you believe that everyone should conform to one opinion? Because I don't see that happening. Does this mean that people shouldn't have options when it is their choice? I really do think that before the country concentrates on abortion that sex education and availability of contraception should come first, but before that happens, young girls are already becoming pregnant. What should we be doing about that? For some people, they feel that abortion is their only option.
