Yeah, it's probably the same type of kids. I don't this is the Twilight crowd, aren't those books all about not biting or really doing anything besides brooding. Plus this trend is so girl centric, I can't see a guy playing along and biting his girlfriend to recreate a non-exsistent Twilight scene.

People who bite each other and drink blood typically have false or surgically implanted fangs (or they just draw blood a more sanity way and sip it from glasses). Twilight vampires have no fangs. When you go for the neck without fangs, you'll probably just end up with a bruise or you'll have to all-out tear the neck open.

And, I think biting might have increased in the Twilight-fanatics, but I've always heard of fetishes like these happening around, everything from biting to drinking blood (sometimes through cuts, not bites) to couples wearing necklaces filled with each others' blood. It's not a new thing, just something new to keep people talking about Twilight and making Ms. Meyers some moolah.

That still goes on. Back when I was doing security at the mall. This was probably back in early 2008. There were these weird ass goth kids that used to always hang at the mall (Yeah, big surprise there, huh?).

Well, we get a call about a kid wielding a knife in the Food Court. Well, when we get there this kid had cut open his forearm and dripped the blood in a cup and had this girl drink his blood so that she could "Be a part of the coven" or some crazy bullcrap like that.

Kid got arrested for the knife. Tossed in juvenile hall for a while where I'm sure those real criminal kids taught him about being in a "coven". Then we had to snap their pictures for our ban book. I still will remember the girl because she had a "blood mustache" in the picture and it was just so gross.

Apparently that happened a lot. Not in the mall but just with these crazy moron goth kids who thought that they were freakin' vampires. I mean how detached from reality do you get? I was a teenager once and it's not like I was the most popular kid on earth but, damn, I never thought I was a vampire and dressed like a weirdo.
