Hi.
The Ten Commandments of 1956 will have a remake ala-300 style. Adam Cooper and Bill Collage- the guys who wrote Accepted- will pen the script.

What are your thoughts? Would you like to see a remake? Should they do it 300-style?

Could work. I've been wondering why there haven't been more bible based stories made by Hollywood. If this succeeds i suspect more.

I don't want to be "that guy," but I'd like to point out it's not a remake. The "novelization" of this movie's been out for more than 2000 years! ;)

It depends on what they really meaan with the 300 style.
Are we talking the practical method of the 300 style ( shooting against a green screen) or just the visuals of 300 ( lots of slomo , men with little clothes duking it out with the bad guys).

As for the question yes i'd totally want to see bliblicac epics made with todays tech. Even to this day the shot of Moses parting the seas in the animated movie is just jawdropping.
Seeing that in IMAX (3-d) would be amazing

I think by "300 style" they mean Green Screen based sets, and more of an action flair than the stagey dramas most people are used to. I have no interest in Bible flicks, but much of the GA does.

i think they also mean the orange and blue color correction

"TONIGHT WE DINE IN THE PROMISED LAND!"

:hehe:

I think it would be cool to see more films based on Biblical epics.

Been waiting for this, always thought they'd remake the Ten Commandments sooner or later, thought they'd have done it by now.

Hopefully its much more like Exodus than The Ten Commandments.

I've been waiting for this! I always felt the film would make a fantastic epic. And with today's special effects it could look incredible.

I'll stick with the Heston version. This will most likely be too flashy and action orientated.

I wonder if instead of a burning bush. It will be a hot chick doing crazy slow mo moves underneath water.

i wish they make a noah moive. this my favorie bible story. they should do samson moive too.

I admit it, i laughed :woot:

This could be good. I do think there's a big market for biblical movies out there, i'm surprised they havent made more of them, specially after the big success of Passion of the Christ.

Here's some other news (all of it from late last year):

-Fox is going to be behind the remake.
-Its also going to have a Braveheart feel to it.

This could be interesting. The original is a classic so I'll wait until I get more info about the movie before judging it.

It's been done. They need to 300-ize different Bible Stories. David, maybe...

The burning bush must be done by WETA, or this movie will fail.

I would love to see a remake, but I'm not too sure about the "300 style" description. . .
