1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

When I was either 3 or 4 (can't remember which) my Dad (who wasn't a Superman) sat me diwn infron of the TV when Superman the Movie was on and said to me, watch this you'll like this. He wasn't wrong.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

Kingdom Come, excellent art, excellent story

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

Man of Steel

4) Why is that film your favourite?

Its the Superman film I've wanted to see since I can remember. It was the closest on film I've seen to a comic book without been an adaptation. They nailed it.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

Christopher Reeve will always be my live action Superman but that doesn't mean Henry didn't nail it. He did and as good as Reeve he just wins by nostalgia.

However, my actual favourite version of the character was on Superman TAS, Tim Daly has the perfect Superman voice for me.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Lex Luthor, while a villain he's as much a supporting character as Lois, Perry, Jimmy etc in my opinion.

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Brainiac, just always loved him, the best version was in the animated series.

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

I would rather have had a solo film but just the fact we're getting Superman on the big screen again is exciting.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

Superman, Batman wouldn't stand a chance

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

Superman Reborn, the Cary Bates script. Its fantastic and would have given Reeve a proper send off.

1) I'm not even sure, as far as I can remember I've known about Superman, it was probably a Reeve film or S:TAS.

2) All-Star Superman. I not only think it's the best Superman story, but the best cape comic period.

3) Superman: The Movie

4) Although dated (some would say antiquated), it speaks volumes about Superman's character. If you ignore the dated story specifics, it really gets the heart of Superman's character, which can be summed up in one phrase (not from the film) of "there's always a way". I think every film since has tried to go against that. Instead of aspiring to try and be more like Superman, we're content to drag him down into the mud with us.

5) I don't have one really. If I had to choose, I'd say either Reeve or Newbern.

6) Jimmy Olsen.

7) Lex Luthor, the perfect nemesis to Superman. Superman is the man who can have everything and decides to save the world, Lex has everything and in doing what he percieves as right, he's destroying the world.

8) Can't really say as of yet. However, given the awkward situation left by Nolan and the desire to create a shared world, and as Man of Steel didn't live up to my expectations, I'm okay with it or rather, apathetic to it.

9) No one.

10) Superman Lives.

10) Superman Lives.

Thanks for replying buddy, nice answers. All Star is incredible.

I assume the Superman Lives answer is the film Burton was going to make rather than the Smith script?

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

I got the Superman 3 movie book when I was 5 to read on a plane to Ibiza but I think I must have already seen the movies as I remember being excited to read it.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

Not a comic book reader but I have read Red Son which was a good read.

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

S:TM

4) Why is that film your favourite?

For me it's what made me love the character, there are so many heart warming & emotional scenes I just love it. I watched it again when it was on TV last week & it's not as cheesy as people make it out to be.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

Christoper Reeve will be very very hard to beat in my mind & that's no slight on the other actors who have portrayed him but CR was just on another level.
The raw emotion when Lois dies makes me weep everytime it's just so good.
The evil Superman in S3 is also one of my favourite scenes of the series and again I thought CR was excellent. The scene when he defeats the evil version of himself, the shirt rip is pure Superman & by that point CR was jacked & looked more like Superman than anyone else including Cavill.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Jonathan Kent. He's the moral guidance for Clark during his formative years & it's his sense of honour, ethics, compassion & mental strength that make Superman who he his. My favourite pa kent was from Smallville, I thought they did a great job of him in that.

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Lex. He is the antithesis to Superman on different levels & there is so much you can do with him.
I like the Lex who believes in Neitsche's Ubermensch philosophy of being the best human being you can be thus becoming the archetypal Ubermensch.
Although Superman promotes the belief that we all are Supermen & all that we need is the inspiration to do it, it actually hinders human progress as we can never be as Ubermensch as Superman thus defeating the purpose of trying to be an Ubermensch.
So this gives Lex the hatred he needs as he can never be like Superman thus shattering his philosophy

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

It's Superman & Batman in the same movie, awesome.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

No contest, Superman.

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

Superman Lives. I'm looking forward to John Shnepp's documentary "The death of Superman Lives. What Happened!!"
It would have been a Superman film like no other, I remember following the progress on Superman-V.com back in the day and couldn't believe they had cast Cage in the role, fun times. :)

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

I was four and Superman the Movie was going to be released. My father told me about it. He wasn't a fan of superheroes but was somehow curious about the movie (Marlon Brando being there and all). Then I got a Superman comic book and soon afterwards the old 1950's TV series was on.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

I think it's Birthright. It has everything I like about the character, plus the people's reaction to his alien nature. I just hated Luthor and Clark being friends and then Luthor sort of not remembering Clark later.

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

Superman the movie.

4) Why is that film your favourite?

All the tradition is there. Everything Superman is, is there and it's taken seriously (except for Luthor and co).

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

Christopher Reeve.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Lex Luthor.

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Lex Luthor again.

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

Solo sequel was a must, developing Clark as a journalist and Superman vs Luthor without other "stars" in the middle. Bringing Batman alone I consider it to be a slap in the face to Superman as a character, let alone him AND Wonder Woman.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

It depends on the writer.

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

Superman Lives. Out of curiosity.

Some great answers here folks, hopefully more will come.

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?
My earliest memories are G. Reeves and the AoS and early SA comics my brother left around the house.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?
Too many to count really...it includes all forms.

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?
Man of Steel

4) Why is that film your favourite?
The action in the movie reminded me of watching a comic come to life. It was epic and grand and I appreciated that. I love it played down the of elements I don't like about the mythos while playing up the ones I LOVE.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)
Reeve....always and eternal.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

LOIS LANE

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Bizarro

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

le sigh...I would have rather a solo movie. I don't trust WB not to **** this up.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

Ummm....really? Superman...duh!!!

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

Hmmm...I don't remember them enough to say which. At this point I wish MOS2 had been made. :o

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

My grandma took me to see SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE when I was two. You can say I am bull cussin' you, but I swear I remember it. Even now, every time I see it I think of what she said when Chris Reeve breaks down over Lois' body. "You see... Superman cries. It's ok to cry."

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

Man this is a doozy. I love WHY MUST THERE BE A SUPERMAN. The original DEATH OF SUPERMAN and the 1990's version. KINGDOM COME is a must. Byrne's MAN OF STEEL. For some reason I love the action of the DC COMICS PRESENTS issue Starlin did with his STARMAN and Supes teaming up against Mongul. WHAT DO YOU GET FOR THE MAN THAT HAS EVERYTHING by Alan Moore. Byrne's Superman and Phantom Stranger team up in his ACTION COMICS run. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE MAN OF TOMORROW by Moore again. TIME AND TIME AGAIN is some of the best stuff in the Carlin era. I want to like Morrison but for the most part I just can't embrace him or his view, but the last 2 issues of ALL STAR are great.

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

As it stands now... I probably still like SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE a little more. But MOS keeps gaining each time I watch it. It is a superb film to me.

4) Why is that film your favourite?

It is in many ways my Platonically ideal live action presentation of the character. He's a friend to all, great and small, trying to set an example for us all to follow. He is passionate and serious, but he also has a sense of humor about himself and the world. He's comfortable with who and what he is in a way that all of us wishes. That all being said... MOS is a totally legit version of the character as well, and sort of embodies the post Crisis Byrne version very well, and I also loved that version.
5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

Christopher Reeve. Henry did a great job, but the performance Chris gave is a thing of beauty. 3 dimensional but also right off the page.

Animated? George Newbern in both SUPERMAN VS. THE ELITE and the Black Adam/Shazam short.

"I fight for those that can't fight for themselves." He nailed there and in his run with JLU.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Lex. Again, so simple but so much there. I think he is often underappreciated for how he has become a very well rounded and in some ways even sympathetic character.

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

I like me the big guns and I can't choose just one.

1. Lex, of course. The Da Vinci of Crime. The greatest criminal mind of our time. Who else but he could be Superman's number one enemy?

2. Darkseid. In many ways a sort of mirror of Superman, in that if Superman so chose he too could be the undisputed ruler of the human race.

3. Brainiac. He comes in under Lex, but in his own way is so much more unrelenting. To paraphrase Kyle Reese, he can't be bargained with... he can't be reasoned with. He doesn't feel pity, or remorse or fear and he will not stop ever... Until the last son of Krypton is dead.

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

After getting MOS, and being very pleased, telling me that it's the basis of a DCCU and that Superman next teams up with a non-Nolanized Batman? Uh, yeah, just take my money.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

Superman. NEXT QUESTION.

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

Donner's idea of doing a Superman film with Supergirl and Brainiac sounds like it would have been the best.

So that's my story and I am sticking to it.

1. Fleischer Superman - The Mad Scientist
2. All Star Superman
3. Man of Steel
4. A modern interpretation, does something different while still authentic
5. Henry Cavill
6. Lois Lane
7. Lex Luthor
8. Very happy
9. Superman
10. Not really sure, but Superman Lives would've been wild

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?
Watching the Donner films at my cousin's house.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?
The Death and Return of Superman.

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?
Man of Steel.

4) Why is that film your favourite?
More engaging storyline.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)
Henry Cavill.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?
Lois Lane

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?
Lex Luthor

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?
Solo sequel.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?
Superman.

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?
Don't know.

1) I think a silver-age Superboy comic. This is going way way back into my infancy, and before I was storing a memory. But I grew up on the Fleischer shorts and 90s comics.
2) All-Star Superman.
3) Man of Steel.
4) Henry Cavill (and Snyder did get so much right).
5) Henry Cavill.
6) Lois Lane.
7) Mr. Mxyzptlk.
8) Slowly warming to it. I think we're better off with Snyder doing what he wants to do. And he wants to do Batman. Let's see what he's got. I have a feeling we're gonna get the best Batman visuals yet. And we finally get to see WW on the big screen.
9) Batman. But he's the only one. The only mortal that truly can best him. And Superman's allowed for this. He needs someone he can trust to be able to take him down for safety. People need to realise that Batman represents us at our peak, and he can take down a god. That's what Frank Miller was going for. It's a win for us.
10) I guess the JJ Abrams project as it may have rejuvenated the character earlier to the mainstream. But everything that happened led to Man of Steel with Cavill so I wouldn't change a thing.

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

When I was in kindergarten, I had a lunchbox and thermos set with Superman images depicted by comic book artist Jose Luis Garcia Lopez. So, it was probably that or the Christopher Reeve films.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

Birthright

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

Man of Steel followed by Superman II

4) Why is that film your favourite?

I feel that MoS offers a uniquely introspective take on the character. The action sequences in addition to some of the acting performances were to my liking as well. It was also refreshing to see that the production team wasn't interested in going with a deus ex machina type approach to Superman with this film. If he did something questionable (which many obviously believe he did), spinning the world backwards simply wasn't an option this time around.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

I think Christopher Reeve gave the best Superman performance on film so far. Henry Cavill was good, though.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Lois Lane. She complements him very well.

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Lex Luthor (modern comics version -- not the S:TM interpretation of the character)

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

With Chris Terrio on-board, I feel like there are plenty of scrutinous eyes on what might have been, devoid of his involvement, a film script of inferior quality. So, I suppose I have a renewed sense of hope in BvS; and I'm certainly looking forward to seeing both of these iconic characters appear together on the big screen for the first time ever.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

Superman

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

I don't care.

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

Either STAS or seeing a Reeve movie.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

The only one I've ever read, is a copy of the issue where Superman dies with the grey cover that looks like a tombstone that belongs to my dad.

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

MoS

4) Why is that film your favourite?

I believe Superman's story is serious, and while the execution of the movie may leave a lot to be desired I feel like it respects that fact. Having thought about it quite a lot since seeing MoS I've come to the conclusion that Superman's themes of isolation, not belonging, having more than one side to ones' personality, etc are native to each and every human being.

The Reeve Superman story's did communicate the gravity of Kal's circumstances, and may have been better movies technically but did not communicate the severity with which these issues afflict every living person, whereas MoS personally felt that it did.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

I don't really associate the essence of Superman with a tangible or already experienced iteration, but rather a set of characteristics in my mind's eye.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Lex Luthor or Lois Lane. I like how those relationships reveal a lot about Kal, and are archetypes for the various relationships real people can and do have.

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Metallo, the STAS episode with him is my favorite.

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

I'm happy with either, but I like that Batman is added because it adds another dynamic to Superman. The way he interacts with different characters reveals a lot about him and the direction they want to take with him.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

Depends on the needs of the writer. Both could win, and the argument would be completely circular because each of them can respond appropriately to whatever action the other takes. It all depends on who has the final say.

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

Wasn't aware there were any >_<.

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

Hmm. Good question. I wasn't a big fan of Supes until my late teens. When i was young I found him incredibly boring. I think thats because the first thing I saw from him was the Reeve movies.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

All Star Superman. It is THE story for me, because it puts everything that is Superman in one story. Love it so much.

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

Man of Steel.

4) Why is that film your favourite?

MoS is the only Superman movie that I love, because I was (and still am) bored to death by the old cheesefest movies. Also, Man of Steel is the first film that shows the Superman I fell in love with. The "modern" Superman, from the late 80s until now.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

Henry Cavill. I think Reeve was great in the role and the only great thing about the old movies, but those are really not for me.

I also liked Tim Daily in the DCAU, but I never gravitate as much to the animated versions as most people do (hell, I am one of the biggest Batman fans on the planet and grew up with Btas, but I hate Conroys Batman voice).

I also think that Kyle Mclachlan did a great Supes in New Frontier.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Lois, when she is done right, like in MoS, or All Star.

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Darkseid, if he counts as a Superman villain. If not, Lex.

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

I am extremely happy. There is only one character in comics I like more than Supes and that is Batman. ILOOOOOOOOOVE Batman. I also love to have a whole film dedicated to their relationship, which is a pretty interesting one in the comics. I hope both get their fair share of screen time and that WW or other heroes don't factor into it much. I want to see Clark and Bruce starting out as rivals and then becoming firends.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

Batman. Superman would never use his full power against a human and Bats wouldn't hold back. But, to be honest... I am only saying this because I am a much bigger Batman fan :yay:

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

I only read stuff about Flyby and the Burton one. Both seem horrible.

Thanks for replying buddy, nice answers. All Star is incredible.

I assume the Superman Lives answer is the film Burton was going to make rather than the Smith script?

No problem, it's a good idea for a thread, I think it would be a good idea to have one for Batman too.

I thought the two were one and the same? Smith screenplay and Burton directing.

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

Watching the Fleischer cartoons on DVD.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

"War of the Superman"

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

Haven't seen any yet.

4) Why is that film your favourite?

:/

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

The one from TAS, though I do have a soft spot for the Fleischers.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Lois Lane, I suppose.

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

General Zod.

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

I'm content with it. I hope Batman doesn't overshadow Superman though.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

Superman of course.

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

Hm, not sure.

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

Being very small and watching Superman: The Movie. I saw it and was bored being very small, but when the helicopter rescue took place then I was very interested. It was on TV with commercials and everything and my attention span was not the best but the rescue did catch my attention.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

To be honest, I have never read the comics. Just one here or there, I think I have only read Birthright, and Superman: Earth One or Year One or whatever it was called.

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

Man of Steel

4) Why is that film your favourite?

I saw the other Superman movies and I never felt like the character was taken seriously and it made it campy. As an adult I enjoyed the camp less and less to where now I don't really like it. It really takes me out of the movie. If I want a comedy, I'll watch one. Superman always seemed to me to have the potential to be epic, Gladiator style epic, sending chills down your spine, rather than corny and campy. Man of Steel at least tried to be as dramatic as possible and that made me like the movie a lot more than if it were campy.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

Christopher Reeve was the best, unfortunately he was never in the type of Superman movie I wanted. Cavill had the best look but I think that had more to with with the physique, suit and hair, etc. I would have liked to see Christopher Reeve in that suit with a better hairstyle. I never watched Superman cartooons though, they dont look like they are particularly well drawn. I don't like the cartoons with those exaggerated bodies and faces that don't look human. I would see the cartoons if they looked like the drawings where faces and bodies look real.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Lois Lane the way Snyder portrayed her which seemed more real, and more grounded than the ridiculous Kidder with her fainting and all that, I could understand a person fainting, but I dont understand why do the fainting in a way that will make audiences laugh.
7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Lex Luthor but I have never seen him done the way I want him to be done. I am hoping that the Lex Luthor in the Man of Steel 2 will be more like Don Corleone than the ridiculous Gene Hackman/Kevin Spacey Luthors.

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

I would rather have had a solo film for Superman and later on a Batman/Superman movie, but either way I am assuming this should be interesting. If not, at least Man of Steel was good.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

Superman, how would Batman win? The ridiculous Kryptonite bullet? He is faster than a speeding bullet correct? By the time Batman fired Superman would have had enough time to fly around the Earth, rip off Batman's finger, crush the gun, and send Batman with the broken gun hurling off into the sun.

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

I don't know that much about them, but I would have liked an origin story that was done well. I often hear "Well why another origin, etc." My answer was always simple, there had not been a good serious camp-less origin story that adults could watch without feeling embarrassed. Now there finally is one. So, after a serious origin movie, my favorite idea would be be a Superman/Doomsday movie.

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

My first memory was "Superman The Movie", that my parents showed me. Then, I received "World's Finest", the comic book by Dave Gibbons and Steve Rude.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

I don't have read many, so I choose "World's Finest".

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

Man of Steel

4) Why is that film your favourite?

Even if I had some complaints about the story or the dialogs, I find the movie really entertaining, visually stunning and very promising for the becoming of the DC cinematic universe. It was a real comic book on screen for me.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

The one from Superman TAS.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Lois Lane

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Hard to tell, it's between Darkseid, Brainiac and Toyman from Superman TAS.

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

Very happy, after MOS I wished DC and Warner would take a different approach than Marvel, with a unique franchise, introducing step by step the different heroes. So, Batman's reaction to Superman arrival seems a good move to me.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

Physically, Superman.
Mentally, Batman.
To win completely, you have to defeat the other on both side, so ... nobody.

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

I really have no idea ! Oh, mine !:woot:

No problem, it's a good idea for a thread, I think it would be a good idea to have one for Batman too.

I thought the two were one and the same? Smith screenplay and Burton directing.

No Smiths draft was thrown out when Burton came on board. Wesley Strick did the draft(s) that Burton was to use. So have u read the Smith draft?

Cheers :cwink: I will be doing a Batman one too, just want to give this one a chance to get plenty of replys aswell. Infact I've already drafted it up, some of the questions are the samebut for Batman but I've replaced a few with other questions.

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

I was like 5ish when Superman The Animated Series came on and I loved it. My dad then showed me the Reeve Superman movies as a kid.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

Kingdom Come without a doubt. Also really like For The Man Who Haves Everything and Brainiac.

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

Superman 2

4) Why is that film your favourite?

Because it's awesome. Seriously though loves it as a kid. Zod became one of my favorite Superman villains. Terrance is still the best Zod.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

Reeve.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Lois probably.

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Brainiac. Always loved him.

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

Honestly, I would have preferred a solo film BUT Superman/Batman will likely be better since Affleck & Terrio are taking over the project and making sure the script makes sense and the movie isn't average like Man of Steel. If it was just a Superman sequel, Snyder & Goyer would have probably wrote it and it would have been worse.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

Superman, and this is coming from a Batman fan.

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

Tim Burton's Superman Lives. Say what you will but that film would have been awesome. Burton was my favorite director as a kid. Loved his Batman movies as a kid and would have loves his Superman film. People talk crap about Cage being Superman but it is any different than Keaton being Batman? Also Brainiac, Doomsday, and Lex were the villains. Yea it would have been awesome. Probably better than Man of Steel.

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

~the Christopher Reeve movie and how the Superman soundtrack played every day on the turntable because everyone in my family loved John Williams' composition (yeah now you guys have an idea how old i am :o )

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?
~For Tomorrow. its a beautifully written and drawn story and tackles the complicacies of Superman's role in the world.

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?
~ i would like to say Man of Steel but that shakey cam really spoiled it for me (part of the reason why i havent rewatched it all the way through). so that would leave me with the first Superman movie that with Christopher Reeve.

4) Why is that film your favourite?
~ Christopher Reeve. he carried that whole movie. plus the entire scene with young Clark growing up in Kansas. thats kinda set the standards that hasnt been met at all until MOS came along.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)
~ Christopher Reeve.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?
~ The Kents. because they serve as Superman's anchor.

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?
~ Gotta be Brainiac. the character they came up with in the animated series is just nail on the head perfect.

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?
~ i would've preferred that Superman got one more solo movie and make the 3rd one his ensemble superhero movie but i aint complaining given how i've waited half my life for a live action Justice League-esque movie to happen and we're finally getting it.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?
~ loaded question :oldrazz: it depends entirely on the scenario.
i'll probably go with Wonder Woman because she has the golden lasso and she can make the boys shut up and go play tea time if they keep being a buncha oafs :woot:

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?
~ i'm actually curious about that growing Kryptonite continent from the end of SR. rumors abound with it on what Singer couldve done with that in the sequel but i guess we'll never know ;)

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

I might have been about 2 or 3 and I remember watching a VHS of the old Fleischer cartoons. It was the one with the mad scientist. The image that most sticks out in my mind is that of Superman pushing the building up to keep it from falling over.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

I never really read comics all that much.

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

S:TM

4) Why is that film your favourite?

For two reasons.

- Because I have fond memories of watching it as a kid.
- Because it's the best.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

Well the definitive "looking" Superman to me is Superman as drawn by John Byrne.

But Superman on S:TAS has got to be my favorite overall. From the look all the way down to the voice... all the way down to the way he was portrayed. That is the quintessential Superman to me.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Lex

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Lex

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

I would have rather had a solo sequel but in all honesty I hated Man Of Steel and I would have much preferred a new creative team altogether.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

I believe it is a stalemate. Neither could best the other.

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

The one I thought Man Of Steel was going to be.

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

I can't even remember how old I was, but I saw STM on tv when I was a kid.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

Birthright, but I am also becoming very fond of the new Adventures of Superman digital comic.

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

Man of Steel

4) Why is that film your favourite?

It's modern and treated Superman like a character rather than an archetype.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

Henry Cavill. He made superman feel real and "lived in" if that makes any sense. His mannerisms and tone of voice were perfect. The way he played it was like how I imagine Superman would be if he was real.

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

It's a tie between Lois and Lex.

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Lex and Brainiac.

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

I would rather have had a solo film but just the fact we're getting Superman on the big screen again is exciting. (I feel the same about this as you do BH/HHH, so I kept your response.)

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

Superman, but batman is a worthy adversary.

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

None of them sounded that appealing to me, but parts of Flyby might have been ok if I'm remembering correctly.

No Smiths draft was thrown out when Burton came on board. Wesley Strick did the draft(s) that Burton was to use. So have u read the Smith draft?

I've not read the original Kevin Smith draft, just bits of the one that was re-written by Jon "I really love mechanical spiders" Peters. I think the only full unproduced Superman script I read was the final Flyby script, which is actually very good and I wish Man of Steel took more from it than just the costume design.

Cheers :cwink: I will be doing a Batman one too, just want to give this one a chance to get plenty of replys aswell. Infact I've already drafted it up, some of the questions are the samebut for Batman but I've replaced a few with other questions.

I'm eagerly awaiting it.

1) What's Your Earliest Memory of Superman?

Can't remember my first time hearing about him, but the earliest notable thing I remember is the Superman/Batman animated film, that was awesome.

2) What's Your Favourite Superman comics story?

Birthright

3) Which Superman film is your favourite?

Man of Steel

4) Why is that film your favourite?

I like how they spend a decent amount of time on Krypton instead of just a quick scene or two, and how they keep the Kents involved after he gets the suit. and among other things I though Shannon was awesome as Zod. And finally we got some good action in a Superman movie.

5) Who is Your Superman? (live action or animated)

Cavill

6) Who is your favourite supporting character in Superman's world?

Luthor

7) Which of Superman's villains is your favourite?

Darkseid

8) Are you happy with Superman vs Batman or would you have rather had a solo Superman sequel?

I'm stoked about the Superman/Batman movie, Batfleck's gonna knock it out of the park.

9) Superman vs Batman who wins?

Superman.

10) Which unproduced Superman film do you wish had been made?

Superman Lives, because that would've been all kinds of hilarious.
