Blu Ray movies are way too expensive. I have 3 total. This will probably be the 4th though. Hopefully the Director's cut is amazing. Doubtfull.

i bet you go to a Sony Style to buy your 3 blurays
just go to Amazon.com the most i ever paid for a bluray movie was $24 and that was @ best buy not amazon

$24 compared to dvds? at 13 bucks on sale when they come out. Thats a huge difference. I honestly dont buy dvds that much anymore either though.

3 minutes?

I should slap McG for yet another lie.

Hahaha. God this movie is such a failure.

It failed as Terminator movie, it's getting sued, Bale flipped out, McG is a dirty liar...and the last saving grace, the extended cut, wont do jack ****.

Terminate this franchise now. DO ET NOUWWW!!! KEEL EET!

well again, I swear I saw 135 minutes from somewhere but for the life of me can't remember where. If they release the film under "Directors Cut" with only 3 extra minutes, that'd have to be an industry first.

Even if this movie had 45 or so minutes of extra footage, it will still be a piss poor movie. It was completely dull and pointless to begin with.

you know, i hear a lot of people complain about this mvoie, i actually thought it was closer in style and story to the original terminator than anything. i really enjoyed it and the change of pace from the other films was welcome. sure, there were a few things that could have been different, but its more picky things from me.

however, if this directors cut only comes out on blu-ray, i dont' know what i am going to do. i do not own any blu-ray movies and even tho i do have a ps3, i seriously don't want to have to cough up the extra money for the format. then the only way i will be able to watch it is on my ps3, and none of my friends can borrow it...which sux! if they have extra features on blu-ray (which i wish they didn't) i can live with that...but don't limit the directors cut to only one format, thats just childish and will hurt this movie even more financially in the long run. if this is true...one of the worst marketing decisions i've ever seen, EVER

and i can deal with it only being 3 minutes longer. at least there is a directors cut...i just wonder what they added back in? if its a scene thats totally lame or un-needed then i guess thats ok even though i'm sure there were plenty of other things they could add back in from what i read.

BUT, i'm happy with 3 minutes...sometimes that can do a lot for a movie if its the right kind of footage.i'm not guna hold my breath for more bloodshed or nudity (not that nudity is needed), but 3 minutes more of action is alright with me

it doesnt make sense, why would there be 2 discs of a film that the only difference is 3 mins? that run time in the ad has to be a mistake

According to this trade advertisement, the director's cut is 118 minutes (three minutes longer than the theatrical cut) and it will only be available on the blu-ray, along with the majority of the extras.
Here it's 135 minutes: http://www.thehdroom.com/news/Terminator_Salvation_Blu-ray_Directors_Cut_Details/5697

The third comment:
The 135 comes from Warner's own press website which is why I had confidence in publishing it.

yea here's hoping he's right. I'm still confused to why Maximum Movie Mode is on the theatrical cut. You'd think an on screen commentary with the DIRECTOR would be for the DIRECTOR's cut

I do hope the DC is more than 3 mins longer, otherwise it will hardly be worth it!

I'm starting to believe it's a misprint. Remember when we had the debate on runtimes before the film came out? One of the tickets from a pre-screening had said 118 minutes. That's because it was adding in the end credits.

McG has (possibly) lied again? I am SHOCKED I say, SHOCKED!

If anything was added in it was probably the Moon Bloodgood topless scene. :whatever:

I hope this is all just a mistake, for the fans' sake.

Thinking of the footage that could be added, the choices are, off the top of my head:

-The topless scene
-The screwdriver scene
-Sewer scene with the tank Terminator (the name escapes me)
-Another transmission or two from Connor
-The T800 picking up the mini-gun
-References to Kate Connor's pregnancy (John touching her pregnant belly, for instance).

That's all I've got.

Maybe the running time on the advertisement was a misprint? 135 minutes sounds far more appropriate for a director's cut.

Also, a scene at the end of the film of Kyle burying Marcus' body.

The Camp Raid sequence with Kyle, Star, and Virginia storming the wires of the camp, the resistance breaking through the camp walls, and the people fighting the T-1. This was all shot.

It's not entirely a bad scene to have in if its intentions are true. If it's a "Witness" moment then the characters' connection with this scene helps later scenes when Blair risks her life to save Marcus. If this scene is included, it could actually make that whole scenario believable.
