That Guy With The Glasses II - Part 3

Just watched the Les Mis crossover review. Epic and funny as hell.

Although, Brentalfloss does seem wasted somehow.

Brentalfloss's Russell Crowe voice had me dying.

Anyone else going to watch the charity drive today?

I can't find a link for it and it's supposed to be starting now. Not even a tweet.

It was 12 CST yesterday. Glad they waited until they were half an hour late before posting anything about being late :p

Surprise guest #2: Suede!

Surprise guest #3: Suede's new baby boy!

$14,000 so far

Trying for $15,000 before midnight (CST)

They're trying for $18,000 before it ends

So... Lindsay's young adult romance novel (that "50 Shades of Green" project) was launched. I haven't been following it too closely, but I gather they've created a fake author named Serra Elinsen behind a book they wrote about a teenage girl caught in the middle of Cthulhu's awakening.

I really hope this book succeeds and becomes the greatest prank of all time.

Yep. It's titled "Awoken" and she's gotten people to write false positive reviews on Amazon. Apparently there was a live reading by Oancitizen at the book launch, with Serra Elinsen's photo on display because she couldn't show up. I didn't watch all of the episodes about how they conceived Elinsen, so I don't know whose photo that really is.

A professional model. They payed to use the photos.

The video of Kyle's reading titled "Dramatic Reading at the Launch Party" is at www.chezapocalypse.com

I'm not linking to the video directly because I'm still watching it and I don't know what kind of language might slip.

--EDIT--
Oh god. Apparently some readers think the book is genuinely better than a lot of Young Adult romance, despite it being intentionally written badly.

Ok, I'm excited for the next Blockbuster Buster. That was a great twist reveal at the end.

Because he would have realized that he was terrible at film and stopped making videos?

Nah, that's not it.

He's got a fanbase. And while I can do without a lot of his storyline stuff, he's a better reviewer and more entertaining than many I've tried or used to watch regularly.

Wasn't someone here waiting for Doug to review Bridge to Terabithia?

The 80's TV movie or the Theatrical Film?

I really disagree. I find that most of his film criticism is super nitpicky or based largely on fanboy criticisms instead of actual criticisms ("they changed this in the adaptation and that's inherently bad" kind of thing) and he can be super dogmatic about what being true to the source material means, none of which I find particularly useful and all of which I find to be pretty obnoxious. Also, I don't think his jokes are very funny.

Elisa and Paw just got married today. A good number of the other producers where there.

Somehow Nash got talked into filming it :p
