"Emoball" could be interesting as a temparary thing, but not longterm. I'd love to see him come to his senses and turn against the Thunderbolts in some cool way, but we'll see how it turns out. If he remains Penance and goes into limbo as Penance to be just a guy in the background with a spikey suit... it'll majorly suck.

As for "hollow" I love it! I actually never got the impression that there was anyone else in her now. In Generation X she was last seen void of anyone inhabiting her and I figure she's still the same way, finally able to be her own character void of the St. Croix characters.

She hasn't spoken yet. She was freed from some captives, she attacked and hurt one of the Loners, and ran away I believe. Then she's seen trailing them. We dont' know much yet.

Well, after attacking Lightspeed aka Julie Power when she mistook her for attacking her, she ran away, but soon found the Loners again, planted a kiss on Phil Urich, aka the good Green Goblin, and said "Like". Other than hanging out at his place now, not that much has happened with her yet.

See? This is what happens when some writers jacked up some character and make them uber-powerful. No one likes too powerful characters in Marvel teams, they are better suited at DC. Now fans have to suffer for her not ever returning back...until a new editor takes place.

They should get back together, but not immediately. Let there be slight friction and let Cyclops begin to feel old feelings for his wife.

I dunno, have Jean hook up with some else. Her and Wolverine would be cool...would definitely get under Scott's skin.

Because, even though he is with Emma now, you can tell that he'll always love her. And if she ever comes back, Phoenix-free, he'll begin to fall in love with her again.

That WOULD take A LOT of issues for them to finally be back together. Issues of abandonment, infidelity, etc. Plus he's involved with Emma for chrissakes. It's not like Emma is the next coming of Mother Teresa.

I don't get it. Jean dies and comes back to life and everyone loses respect for her, but when other characters die and return, it isn't criticized as heavily.

Yes, there have been writers who did not know how to write Jean, and the character has suffered because of it, but to what character has that not happened to? Writers favor characters and ignore others.

All X-Men needs is a character who understands Jean Grey and can write her accurately. Endsong was an amazing Phoenix story, why not try to get Greg Pak on board?

All I'm saying is that because of Jean's numerous revivals in the past is no reason to axe her from the comics forever.

I really believe it's not because of her 'revival' that they don't want her to come back. It's more of a thing that Jean is uber-powerful that team drama and strategy (which the X-men is known for) will be thrown away. And I don't think that Marvel will risk all that just to get one character especially when the X-books are doing excellent without her. Endsong, for me, hurt her more than good indirectly. Establishing the fact that Jean is Phoenix makes no more excuses for her to ever exist without the Phoenix inside of her. That, plus with the Joe Q's belief and opinion on her, it's really impossible to bring her back.

Well, new previews for the next issue has Wolverine apparently recognizing whoever the character of Wondra is when she's shown on tv. Plus one of the other characters coming up is rumored to be Chamber after his Apocalypse cult makeover.

I hope Chamber comes back. I've always loved him in Gen X and it would be nice to see and read about him again. Plus, Paige and Jono has always been the ONE for me, lol.

As much as I want to see them together again, almost everyone is already fed up with Phoenix, I guess none of the writers are willing to take the hot potato of how to ditch Phoenix and bring Jean back, so until some creative writers come along and come up with a way to get rid of the Phoenix plague, she should just stay dead.

Jean and Logan hooking up seems rather forced. So they had romance together, so what? It's not like Logan is not confused who he really wants Jean or Ororo. It seems like Marvel has been riddling it out for the fans.

Yeah, that was a big blunder as far as I'm concerned. She cuts anything she touches whether she wants to or not. If she kissed Phil, his lips should be sliced to ribbons. She did soften once, but it was because she did not feel in harm and thus her skin began to soften, but she haridened up again later. She obviously still feels threatened.

Regarding the Jean/Logan thingy...

Cyke and Wolvie are both tough guys with lots of issue. So f****d up it's not even funny. Yeah, yeah, they're not the exact same person, but there's a reason why they get each other. Seriously, both are either a good or bad match for Jean. Kinda silly to favor one rather than the other while what makes both these guys tick is, ya know, *that much* similar.
