Comics The '07 X-Event: Endangered Species, Messiah Complex, & Disassembled

I stand by my Mastermind theory!:pI do want to know where this is from though,lol!Xmen-MC or some Black Panther issue?

Yeah, it's a BP story dealing with alternate realities or something. Point is, it's not real.

....But the X-men totally have orgies off-panel.

He can only be shared. :cwink:

Meh, even if he'd had a threesome with Jean and Emma, you know he would've spent weeks brooding and moaning about how wrong and unfair to them it was. Cyke's kinda predictable when it comes to those things. :woot:

You forgot to throw Logan into the bunch!
Each of them can have Scott for two days in a week, Sunday is his day off, he can use it for brooding. :woot:

We're back at the start of a new week and this time we're hitting up the villainous Purifiers. To be honest, when we first read the Messiah Complex special, we were a bit surprised to see the former followers of William Stryker (this was before much information had been released about the series). To us they had always seemed like smaller fish from the realm of the New X-Men series. They were certainly viscious, having killed many of the students at Xavier's School, but seemed relatively new and less-developed than some of the mutants' legendary villains. But it appears Marvel is intent on pushing them forward. After read that first issue, we're inclined to say, "Mission Accomplished."

We thought we'd ask the X-editors about the Purifiers. Just who are they and how important are they to the overall story?

Day Six
Villain Spotlight - The Purifiers

Axel Alonso, man of few words, kept his analysis of the Purifiers brief. "The Purifers? Three words: Kill the baby," said Alonso. "This their mission: Make sure the baby is terminated, no matter the cost."

Nick Lowe chimed in with his thoughts as well. "The Purifiers were a surprise. If you aren't reading New X-Men, you don't know who they are. Once you read Messiah Complex, you'll definitely know who they are. They come into the crossover mean and fast. And come out of the crossover a major player.

"Who are they? The Purfiers started as the military arm of Rev. William Stryker's ministry. He had his churches and then he had the Purifiers. They massacred a bus full of Xavier Institute kids. They've sniped New X-Men, stabbed New X-Men and terrorized New X-Men. They laid siege to the mansion, took down Bishop, Cannonball, Beast and Emma Frost. They are the real deal.

"Now, after William Stryker preached of a mutant Anti-Christ, they must spring into action. And it is going to be a blood-bath. There are secrets about the Purifiers that you will learn in Messiah Complex. And they're scary."

Aren't there older panels out there of the Marauders coming to the "rescue" and attacking the Purifiers?

Yep, there were.

If it does happen in Mutant Town, one can't help but wonder WTF X-Factor is doing...? I know they don't have a jet, but they can't NOT be aknowledged, right?

That's supposed to be at the hospital where the new mutant birth happened.

So it's basically a MArauders/Purifiers brawl rather than a massacre?

Then who the hell are all these people getting torched?

The Purifiers don't know exactly who this mutant is, so they're doing what any fanatical, psychotic cult does: kills everything they see move.

Marauders v. Purifiers...should be interesting...but seeing how the Marauders are mutant killers themselves...perhaps they are pissed that the Purifiers got their first and had choice pickin's
