Thompson put everyone to sleep during his debate debut. He was boring, uninspiring and didn't say anything at all that was even remotely note worthy.

I just watched the debate...Thompson was getting owned by third tier candidates.....Duncan Hunter???? You're right, he wasn't saying anything new, inspiring....I can't see him winning at this track rate, playing the lazy folksy guy with a deep voice. He has to attack hard and say something substantive to win this race.

I'll still vote for him in the primary. Might be a waste of a vote, but damned if I care. Maybe if he gets enough support he will be named Secretary of State (a job which he would exceed at).

All the candidates suck. I am sick of waiting for someone to just come out and say what makes the most sense. The only one with any hope is Obama because I have no clue where he stands on the half the issues; so it coud go either way.

Out of the realistic choices, I would vote Edwards out of any of the current front runners.

Hilary vs Romney or Thompson I will vote Hilary.

Obama vs. Romney or Thompson I will vote third party.

Hilary or Obama vs. Giulliani I will vote Giulliani.

Hilary was running committees during Bill's time in office. Not to mention she has a full term up on Obama. I say she is more experienced than Obama because she is.

She is a term up on Obama, this is true. However, being first lady doesn't count as experience. The last thing I remember her being in charge of that had any weight to it was Hilarycare and we all saw where that ended up. She'll never win a general election and Obama is the only one in that field that's got a shot. Either way, I think we're staring straight into eight 9/11 years of 9/11 President 9/11 Giuliani. (Let us not forget the lessons we learned on that fateful day.)

I doubt that McCain will make it, he's disliked by both sides of the political spectrum. Giuliani is almost certainly going to be the Republican candidate because everyone else in the GOP is an absolute joke.

I'm doubt I'd vote for Romney, but I will say a few things to his credit.

As you point out, he flip flops, but he sort of does listen to the people's wishes. A lot of his flip flopping is because he was the conservative governor of a liberal state and he was heeding to the wishes of his people, which I respect.

Also, he is an extreme fiscal conservative with a business background. He knows how to run a business and how to handle finances. Our country could really use someone like that at the moment.

Those are both small states with small electoral votes. Giuliana leads the national approval rating for the Republicans. I think the man can lose two states and still be OK.

Electoral votes do not matter, nor do national polls. Howard Dean was leading in every national poll until the primary in New Hampshire. I can give you countless examples like that. Whoever takes New Hampshire and Iowa, takes the primary.
