I've pre-ordered Superman (Reeve) and Batman (89). I wish I could get them all, but I think the shipping and taxes will be too much.

    Anyway...

IGN and Sideshow are having a contest for the Superman figure. It's open worldwide (as far as I can tell). You can enter HERE.

I love the Onimusha games so of course I really want one of those Enterbay figures of Samanosuke as that is my favorite character of the series (**** Jubei).

Anyone have a link on more information on Enterbay?

Do you not have a local vendor in Greece?

I'd personally go for Ebay, i can recommend 2 very good sellers, you only pay for the item+shipping, no customs usually because they mark them as gift.

No. At least I don't think so. Although there was a local comic book store from which I ordered a Star Wars Sideshow figure from. Unfortunately they closed. I think the do have another store somewhere. I'll probably ask them.

Neven bought anything off ebay before. Can you tell me about those sellers (or PM me about it)? I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

The Batman 89 figure looks excellent, and almost like a screenshot of Keaton himself.

I like the Enter the Dragon figure, and the Christopher Reeve Superman is cool too. Wish I could see more pics of the Chris Evans Cap.

Any news of whether there might be a Hayley Atwell Peggy Carter figure coming out? I think she would be awesome to have.

I don't think I could afford these regularly though. If I were to get just one, it would be an Anne Hathaway Catwoman/ Selina Kyle.

So, I'm thinking about going into buying just 12inch figures. I'm wondering if this is a good idea really. I mean I've mostly been collecting smaller figures 5 or 6 inch scale, but a few years ago I picked up the Sideshow Han Solo cheap and then got the Sideshow Indiana Jones and the Mattel Ghostbusters. And I love them.

The reason I'm asking is they're a hell of a lot more expensive than smaller figures. I know they look so good, but the Batman 89 figure is the first big money one I've bought. The reveal of a 12inch 11th Doctor is what got me thinking about going 12inch only, but is it a drain on the wallet? And is it worth it?

I would say as long as you control your habit and stick to what you want and don't drift around you'll be ok.

What i mean is don't buy something because it looks cool. Really think about the decision. The best thing about upgrading to 12 inch is that if you buy say Batman 89 and then when you get him you aren't pleased with him you can always sell him for more than what you bought him for.

Coming from the same position as you i think it's the best decision i've ever made in regards to my collection. The only thing is that they need to be looked after well otherwise it's a lot of money down the drain.

    Good luck man.

Thank for the advice. I've probably spend more on the smaller figures than I would have on the larger figures. I mean I only got the ones I have just now by chance because they weren't that expensive. But I'm probably going to get rid of a lot of my smaller stuff because most of it is just boxed up and taking up room.

I do blame the Hot Toy Batman 89 for all of this. I just fell in love with that. I was never fussed about any other Hot Toys offering before but that was amazing.

They all are pretty amazing in their own way. Your starting at a good time with the re-release of the Mark I Iron Man armour. The first one was really great so this one should be even better.

I do think that in the long run you'll enjoy collecting Hot Toys (12inch) more and if you don't, like i said you can just sell them on for sometime double the price!

i'm waiting for the 12 inch figure of Thor to be re-released. I hope I don't have to wait too long. I wonder if they'll make the warriors 3 and the lady sif...definately Fandral and Sif.

Yeh, like I say I've never cared for Hot Toys. I've always liked my toys to look like toys. Thats why I like my Sideshow Han and Indy and my Mattel Ghostbusters. They look amazing, but they still look like toys.

I don't think I'm likely to get anything other than the Batman 89 from Hot Toys. Hell, I'm not even interest in the Hot Toys Joker. They just don't interest me that much. That is, unless they were to make something else I fell in love with...

I pre-ordered the HT Superman after seeing images of the improved head sculpt. Couldn't help myself. I have wanted something like this since I first saw Superman: The Movie back in `78
Am getting mine off of Ebay, the seller is reported to be very good and I saved about £50 by not going through FP as I had originally planned.

This is my first HT purchase, but I am not sure it will be my last....
The `89 batman looks really good. (Must resist.... just bought Superman!)
    Spidey looks nice too...

Where did you hear this? Would like to read up on this myself.

    EDIT
Never mind. Found out for myself. Just box pictures so far. Sighs...

I've recently acquired a Hot Toys Superman which I am quite pleased with. What I might do is put together some kind of armature which fits to the wall and goes around the figure so that you can pose it in lots of different flying positions.

And if my complaint about being mis-sold PPI insurance a number of years ago is upheld, I will have enough money from that to afford the '89 Batman and Joker figures. Maybe even with a Spiderman if I am real lucky...

I wish Hot Toys would acquire the Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman licence for 12" figures. I know Bif Bang Pow has it for 8" figures, but I'm not fond of their overly-retro Mego sculpts. I want something realistic and with modern articulation - everything that the original toys should have been (or would be if made with today's technology). I've waited for decades for these, and still no sign of it. :( It's kind of like the Hot Toys Superman which people have waited decades for to get something like that.
