The Colorado and Minnesota caucuses take place on February 7th. Missouri will also be holding a primary on this day but it will not count toward the delegate total for the GOP convention. Who will win? Who will lose? Who will drop out of the race?

(In keeping with the tradition of the 2008 election season...all debates, primaries, and caucuses will have their own threads to ensure that the political forum continues to run smoothly.)

Discuss. :yay:

Santorum goes home crying...but no, he'll drop out and endorse anyone not named Ron Paul.

I think Romney wills Colorado rather easily and Santorum wins the Missouri beauty contest.

Minnesota is the interesting one. Minnesota has had a tendency in the past to march to the beat of a different drum than the rest of the country and because of that I say Santorum will take Minnesota as well.

So Santorum will go 2 of 3 tonight and things will continue on and on and on...

Nobody drops out, although if Santorum does win Minnesota that would give him two states and Gingrich probably should drop out at that point and allow the conservative wing to rally around Santorum as an alternative to Romney.

I'm hearing Michelle Bachmann giving an intelligent analysis on CNN. It's scary :(

CNN projects Rick Santorum has won Missouri.

Santorum is also currently in the lead in Colorado and Minnesota.

Holy ****...

Hahaha...

I like Santorum destroying everybody in Missouri.

Shame Paul is in for a bad night! Granted he is currently 2nd in Minnesota! Too early to tell in Colorado.

But if Romney loses all three...

It looks like I overestimated Romney in Colorado. He still can win, but not looking good for him at the moment. Minnesota looks be going strongly for Santorum.

Santorum projected to win Minnesota. Called that one.

Can't say I find this too surprising. The real interesting one will be Texas.

...not a good night for Mr. Romney.

Well, you're not psychic.

He has 50% vote and in first with 9% in...well over a 7,000+ vote lead.

:)
Yeah I totally did not see that one coming. I expected Romney to do a lot better in Missouri. Like A LOT better.

And I expected Paul to not get crushed in Colorado...at least he seems to have 2nd place locked in Minnesota.

...Oh My...Santorum with that...

HAT TRICK!!!!!!!!!!

Ooooooooh, in your FAAAACE, Romney.

Since there is no thread for this what exactly was the point of the Missouri primary?

For some reason I feel like tonights results are going to become a key marker for a longer than expected campaign.

I think tonight's results continue to show that GOP voters don't really want Romney to be their nominee.
