NP, I'm hoping to find a way to watch the games, it's been a very long time before I actually watched a cricket tournament, however I still suspect the usual teams are still the favorites ( Aus,India,Eng and Pakistan)

England vs South Africa started. England are 72-1 from 12 overs.

England's final score is 311 (for 8). Could still go either way. It's not enough to scare SA off but still a challenge.

I just saw Amla retired (hurt)? SA already down 2 wickets

SA 173/6 (need another 139 runs with 4 wickets left)

Now 193 for 8. Going to be very hard for SA from this point.

And all over. SA finish with 207. England win by 104 runs.

Congrats to England for winning the opening game of the tournament.

Have England ever started a tournament as favourites? It’s quite fun to see.

I guess they did back in 1999 ?(the last time they hosted the WC)

West Indies absolutely murdered Pakistan today.

And today looks like another collapse. Sri Lanka 80-6!

New Zealand absolutely dominated and in the end won by 10 wickets! Very disappointing from Sri Lanka.

Australia also beat Afghanistan by 7 wickets in the second fixture of the day.

Bangladesh doing really well against South Africa! 240-3 after 39 overs.

Bangladesh finish on 330! Wow, way above expectations. South Africa could lose their second game in a row unless their batsmen can rescue them.

Nothing would surprise me.

SA are 125-2 from 24 overs. Still plenty to do but wickets in hand. Should be an exciting end to the match.

222/4 now, SA need another 109 runs with to win.

And a wicket maiden to follow giving the balance of power back to Bangladesh. 228-5! Need 103 runs to win off 10 overs, over 10 an over.

6 overs left and 259-6. 72 runs needed. Starting to get away from SA.

Yeah, I have no faith in SA's lower order batting to get them out of this mess.

SA need more than 2 runs a ball with 4 wickets left.
