The 26th James Bond Film

Izabella Scorupco has been doing commercials for Smarteyes (a brand for glasses) for some years now. Here she was joined by Malin Åkerman as well.

Can't see the image. It just appears as a broken image.

I see, how very rude of you then to just make a statement like that and refuse to elaborate further when myself and @Dark Raven asked to further expand on said comment!!

oh well.

Moving on, it’s interesting seeing Gunn’s plans for DC include finding leads that can do it all, movies, television, games. I wonder if the Broccolis are looking for that sort of thing for the new Bond. They’ll probably be about ready to announce them by the time they’re looking for a voice cast for the new game

I don't see anything now. Not even a broken image.
That's even weirder. I used Imgur.com the last time, and they've never failed me since decades back.

I've noticed though on some image/gif posts here I can't see.

I can see that one. What did you do differently there?

Is that Izabella on the right? She looks great for her age if that is current. Certain much better than Famke is looking right now. :(
All I did was simply copied, then pasted the picture onto the message box.

Izabella on the right and Malin Åkerman on the left. Izabella still looks amazing, and has been doing these TV commersials for Smarteyes for some years now. It's been a while since she made a movie though (sadly).

FandomWire says that Aaaron Taylor Johnson is now OUT as James Bond, but I am not sure I believe them when they don't even know who has played James Bond and who hasn't played James Bond in the past let alone the future.

Had Spectre been Craig's last film, I would have enjoyed seeing Tom Cullen. Not sure if he's a star at all in the UK but in the US, he was just on History Channel's Knightfall which ran for two seasons.

I def want either a complete unknown or a rising star. Not someone who's arguably A-list or who's face has been on the poster of half a dozen films in recent years.

It’s interesting how much bigger Craig movies were internationally than Brosnan’s. Domestically they were about even (Cept Skyfall). But good god, Brosnan was almost a dud globally.

At this point, I might be less invested in who plays Bond than I am in who does the opening song.

Enough of this dreary ****. Give me Duran Duran. Give me a-ha.

Yeah it would be fun to have a bop to start the new era off with

I would take anything FandomWire says with a massive truckload of salt. They just ran with a straight face an article commenting that Cameron Monaghan should play Cal Kestis is live action because he looks "uncannily" like the character. Totally ignorant of the fact that he is the character's voice and performance capture actor for the Star Wars Jedi games and the character was literally modelled on his appearance.

Certainly explains them casting a near-40-year-old for their origin Bond.

To be fair, Fleming always established Bond as becoming a Double O after years of regular naval and intelligence agent service. The implication was always that he was at least mid-30s.

Craig was the youngest Bond when cast since Connery and Lazenby. Moore through Brosnan were all mid-40s when they were cast.

I prefer Bond being older. Casino Royale would have worked fine with a much younger lead but Bond already being relatively experienced in military and black ops stuff before becoming a 00 feels fitting to me.

We all know that Kevin Conroy was the Greatest Bond of them all:smilingeyes:.

I think Connery's age in Dr. No is the sweet spot in his early to mid 30s , in terms of casting an actor at the start of a series of films.

Given the amount of years between making these films lately, getting an actor in their early to mid 30s means they could do several of them before the actor enters their 50s .

In other words, they'll be able to stay with the role longer, with more films, before the calls of " He's getting too old" or " Who's going to be the replacement for the aging Bond" talk , begins to happen.

They could cast a Bond actor in their 40s and still make it work, but I think casting an actor in their early to mid 30s would be a great option.

...Bond can't be under mid-30's with the background he needs to have, to be welcomed into MI6.

I don't think the character will be under his mid 30s, though the actor himself, could be 33 or 34.

For the record, I don’t have a problem with Craig’s age going into Casino Royale, I just think it’s funny that he went from origin story to “old dog” in, like, three movies.

Yeah..

In my own head canon, there's at least a decade between the events of CR and QOS to SF..

But yeah, one would have thought Craig's OO7 had been active since the 1990s by the time Skyfall takes place given the "old dog" sentiment.
