Action-Adventure The 26th James Bond Film

I respect that they kept the franchise within the family and didn’t make 50 different Bond spinoffs for Amazon lol

Keeping the franchise special is no small feat in this day and age.

It certainly is. Not that they need the money, but they could have cashed in the rights anytime and I'm sure a major studio would have paid a fortune for film rights, merchandising, etc. Can you imagine a Disney 007 :dizzy::dizzy::dizzy:. Probably end up with a hundred spin-off TV shows.

I'm sure some of it comes from it being a family owned entity, there's some sense of family pride in keeping it and not just in it for the money.

Yea, I'm happy they're taking they're time. No rush.

Maybe they're working on getting Nolan-senpai? He's a huge fan and people would go NUTS if they sign him on to start the new Bond.

Not going to happen. Nolan wants to do a period piece Bond film, and they aren't interested in that.

Probably not true. The sources that suggested he wanted to make it a period piece were debunked on other points pretty quickly.

Vogue does realize half of these picks are over 40 right?

I can't see the point in a period Bond movie anyway since we've seen the character in every decade for the past 60 years. I don't need to see a "What if James Bond was in WWII?" movie. If someone wanted to do that they might as well make it a Christopher Lee biopic.

Second best Christopher after Lloyd of course. :o

*Sits back and waits for the mob of Nolan fanboys*

It could be a neat fresh take if they really, really went back to Fleming and adapted the original novels as originally set in the 1950s.

I would love to see David Arnold come back to the music I LOVED the stuff he did on his 6 films

I'd be up for it but I think something like that would be better suited for a show. That way they don't need to pull any punches and water it down for a PG-13 rating but EON probably wouldn't entertain that thought.

Oh completely agree. When Amazon bought MGM, I thought it would be a fun streaming series companion to the tentpole EON films. There would be less pressure to include blockbuster action and they could pare things down to more of an espionage thriller.

The way I see it, it could be similar to Batman where Pattinson's tenure overlaps with the end of Affleck's and the beginning of whoever the new DCU Batman will be. Two Bonds happening at the same time wouldn't confuse people.

They need to just bite the bullet and cast someone already. Enough time has past since the last movie. Just get on with it.

I’d also like to honor them with the Taking Their Sweet ****ing Time Announcing the Next Bond Award. :o

Meanwhile I'm here still thinking that No Time to Die came out like six months ago because the years start coming and they don't stop coming.

I feel the same way about The Batman. For all the *****ing about the sequel being delayed, it absolutely does not feel like that movie was almost 2.5 years ago.

Personally I am almost in denial with the idea that Casino Royale is supposed to be almost 20 years old now.
