Pascal was a massive influence on the Daniel Craig era of Bond. He was head of Sony during the first four installments. Interesting that she might be back as a producer.

I remember when the Sony hack happened and it was revealed that Amy Pascal liked to make racist jokes about Obama.

Yeah, with her and MAGA Jeff calling the shots, we’re never going to see a POC play Bond. This whole thing just sucks.

She did but also said Idris could’ve been Bond.

Sony Co-chair Amy Pascal Wants Idris Elba to Be the Next James Bond (2014)

Sony co-chair Amy Pascal wrote a lot of regrettable things in her leaked email correspondences, so it’s nice to read something we can agree on: She wants Idris Elba to be the next James Bond. The Daily Beast reports that in an email to Elizabeth Cantillon, a former vice-president for Columbia Pictures, which distributes the Bond films, Pascal simply typed, “Idris should be the next bond.” Yes, please.

Ugh, no offense, but I don't understand the obsession with Cavill as Bond. You just know exactly how he would play it. Bland, wooden, and like he is trying really hard to act and emote. Why not cast a great actor instead, who would actually do something new and interesting with the part? CoughJoshO'Connorcough
Everyone has preferences, but Henry Cavill would make a fantastic James Bond! Just look at his performance in "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." – he nails the suave, charismatic spy vibe!

I think Amy Pascal is a good studio executive, arguably, but she doesn't have a single creative bone in her body.

If Heyman can use his HP/Gravity connections to get Cuaron in the director’s chair, that would go a long way toward quelling doubts over Broccoli/Wilson’s departure.

It’s a nice idea but chances are that real directors won’t want to go near this mess and we’ll get some doofus like Len Wiseman.

I could see names of substance steering clear of any attempt to do spin-offs. But standard, classic 007?

I don’t think things are that toxic…

Those names could've been way worse, to be honest. Extremely cautiously optimistic.
