He is probably very disoriented, he returned from the dead.

And maybe October 19 is when the Nova group shows he is alive.

They just showed a Picture of him that Matthew was looking at while talking on the phone with someone. So I guess he is in hiding

they have the rest of the season to tell that story, and you could also say that they didn't do anything with Kyles story too.

Well they used the Tom side of Kyle's arc, that phone call trying to get someone to make Kyle see him and him wanting to see Kyle as a baby at the end.

I can't wait either. But I won't be able to watch until the fall. That is when Space will be showing it.

i cant believe they killed lily she was so damn hot

Phenomenal start. Aptly titled, too. It really is a new world now that the 4400s are all developing abilities and/or refining the ones they have. Shawn's healing people left and right these days, the 4400s got their very own "Brotherhood of Evil Mutants," polarization abounds, a cool guest-star unfortunately turned out to be evil, a regular cast member died, another is miraculously unkillable, Matthew gets a whole lot more interesting, and more. This is the way to kick off a season.

Oh, I know the similarities between The 4400 and the X-Men are really, really obvious and all, but did anyone else get the sense that the ending scene with Maia and that electric kid was a direct homage to the Iceman/Rogue/Pyro meeting scene in X-Men the movie? I could practically hear electric boy say, "Welcome to Mutant High" at the end. :D

great start!

was I the only one expecting it to be revealed that Collier was behind the Nova Group?

I suspected it. Looks like Collier may have amnesia or something, though. The impression I got was that he was just wandering around and one of Matthew's contacts spotted him. It also looks like Matthew may have been behind his "death" in the first place.

Speaking of Jordan, anyone wondering what his ability will turn out to be? Maybe he's unkillable like Isabel, which is how he survived.

I thought he was just lying low, but yeah, he might have amnesia. they still have to explain how the hell he got to that beach...

now that you mention Collier being unkillable, I was thinking that maybe the reason Isabelle is so important is because she has every power of the 4400, she just doesn't know it yet.

I was also thinking... maybe Matthew is also from the future, making sure that everything goes to plan. farfetched, probably, but interesting, IMO.

Speaking of similarities did anyone notice that the doctor guy (I forget his name, I don't really watch the show too often) is the guy who voiced The Question on JLU? His voice is so tied to the Question in my mind that I can't picture it coming from that guy.

I think Matthew is an agent of the future people who's allowed himself to get a little dirty trying to follow their plans. More an "ends justify the means" character than an outright evil one. What little we've seen of the people from the future has shown them to be relatively calm and collected, too; not like Matthew, who totally *****-slapped Isabelle when she posed the slightest threat to the plan.

As I understood it, Jordan returned to the same beach at the foot of Mount Rainier as the 4400 did.
