What did everyone think of the 4th season premiere?
The premiere was last night (6/18) here in the US. I thought it was a good opening, but not quite up to last season's. Graham and Jordan's messiah-off was cool, and Jordan's power is pretty damn impressive. Diana's whole deal seems a little bit contrived. Kyle coming back is a bit of a blessing and a curse, since interesting things just seem to inevitably happen around Kyle, but the actor who plays Kyle vaguely annoys me. I'm curious about what the deal is with that Cassie chick. Alana's disappearance feels really forced, which it obviously was by the fact that Karina Lombard didn't come back to the show for this season. Isabelle's Hannibal Lechter impression is a bit lame, but I suppose it's better than her being the uber-villain for another season. Oh, and last but not least: WHERE'S RICHARD?! The actor's name wasn't in the opening credits or anything. Damn it, Richard's got more in him than just an Antichrist daughter subplot! He was my favorite character on the show.US sometimes this month I think.
UK - Sky One July 9pm on the 10th I think, I can't wait!
Isabelle lost her powers in the 3rd-season finale. Tom shot her, so the last we saw of her in that episode she was in the hospital, but apparently she recovered and went to jail for her crimes. The actress' name is in the opening credits now, however, so it looks like she'll be sticking around. Unfortunately.
So that Cassie girl totally has something to do with Kyle's power that he doesn't realized he's developed. The girl basically seems to be a physical manifestation of his inner voice. She knows all about him, not because she's read up on him, but because she IS him.
Why is everyone hating on Isabell? First of all, she's only a child. She's only about two years old. The reason why she went evil is because she wasn't raised with the ability to choose the right path. That wasn't anyone's fault, it just turned out that way.
Sean tried, but couldn't finish. It's why she latched on to him so quickly. She doesn't have the experience in relationships to see a break up coming. Another reason why she went evil. Also, Sean was a bit of a bastard with that.
Now, Isabell knows more about the future than Maia or anyone else. Not even the shot of whatever-juice could take that away. I wouldn't discount her yet. I hope she comes back and kicks people into shape again. That was fun.
Maybe she can help look for her father. I really liked him. He's been my favorite character since the beginning. When he got his TK I was so happy. It's not everyday that a man gets TK. And his internal struggles were a great thing to see. I know that the actor said that he was coming back this season on the 4400 official site. So, I can't wait.
Kyle looks like he'll finally have a storyline, instead of having ****ty things happen to him and spending the rest of the season off camera.
I hope Sean doesn't get a big ego again. If he does I seriously hope that Isbell will be right there chopping him down. God, it was so funny watching him get powned by her again and again.
Oh and Isabell's beef against the future people should be very interesting.
well... that's not really a power is it. it's schizophrenia.
That might lead to some... odd... avenues. Imagine falling in love with and marrying your inner voice.
Yeah, and unlike most other sci fi TV series, things actually change from season to season on The 4400. Each season so far has had its own unique feel and themes.
