The 6 Worst Things to Eat at the Theater

I don't buy food from the theater itself, as their prices on food are freakin' ridiculous. I normally just go to a nearby supermarket, buy some sugary sweets and a milkshake, and I'm set.

For IM recently though, I decided to treat myself with a tub of Ben N' Jerrys.
Yeah.
What a god awful idea that was :(

When I go with my friends, we don't get anything, we just eat after the movie. When I'm with my dad, I'll usually just get a medium Sprite or something.

Well, if people didn't buy food at theatre's, they would eventually go out of business. They only make like 50 cents off of the ticket sales.

Hmm. if they brought down the price of the crappy food more people would buy. Plus, I'm sure they're making money due to all the commercials before the movie. The theaters I go to do not look like they're hurting one bit, they're effin huge, tons of screens and seem to make a lot of business on the weekend....a lot.

They just raised our matinee prices from 7 bucks to 8 bucks recently over here. And with that, I am pissed.

I haven't been to a matinee in a long while, I think it's still like 5.25 here.

Yeah I still use my student ID to get discounts. I'm 30, but my face hasn't changed at all since 19 to be honest.:o

Black Don't crack!

Well, that is, if you don't smoke crack... :down

The theater I go to now only takes student ID discounts on Wednesdays.

I only get a bag of Cotton Candy whenever I see a movie. A 'large' bag of candy at my theatres costs $6.99!!

Popcorn can actually be a healthy snack, as it is a whole grain. However, the sheer volume of what you get at the theater in combination with the salt and massive amounts of butter (no doubt full of trans fats) make it an overall unhealthy choice if you're not wise about it.

Share that large popcorn between about four people and don't get butter with it, and it can actually be considered a pretty smart snack. I'll eat popcorn from time to time at home (butter-free); it's relatively low-calorie and fills you up pretty quickly. Don't get the wrong idea about it from this article...just do it a bit smarter.

I usually don't buy stuff there i sneek stuff in.

Once in a while i buy a drink if i can't get to the store and buy anything.

it cost 5 dollars for just a medium soda.

Popcorn minus the salts and butters at the theatre = theatregoing friends kicking you in the balls repeatedly.

Anyone bring a bag of cream corn to the movies like Adam West does:yay:?

No, but a friend of mine and her boyfriend brought a pack of mini-powdered donuts and a liter carton of OJ to the Matrix Revolutions screening. I thought that was weird.

Thw weirdest thing i saw someone bring to the movies was fried chicken wrapped in foil. They were sitting next to me so they made a lot of noise plus they had a big baf of chips and cans of sodas.

Thats the most annoying thing hearing someone opening a can and you hear that noise, They should atleast bring in a 20 oz bottle it doesn't make that noise.

I hate people who never shut the hell up and its not even the movie yet there blabbing and being a jackass.

So yesterday during the hulk i almost turned into the hulk cause this little pissnat kid was getting on my nerves.

I finally said SHUT THE HELL UP!

he laughed cause he thought it was funny i turned around and just looked at him with a fierce look on my face and he just said back down.

he was about 5'5 or so and anywhere between 140 and 150 while i'm about 6'0 feet and between 210-215.

I'd skip the left over popcorn scrownged into the cussion seat and chewed gum under the chair arm. :oldrazz:

I saw :bh: at the theater today, only got a bottled water. Go me.

Who cares how big you are? If you're looking for a fight, I've seen dudes smaller than that kid take out dudes bigger than you.

Plus, didn't you say he was a kid?

That's a no-no.
I said he looked like a kid.

I don't care if he acts like a *****e he's gonna get whats coming to him.

Popcorn to the face?
I don't get popcorn. And people need to have some damn manners and getting snot beat out of them if need be should teach them.

I'm not gonna take any crap when i pay money to relax and watch a movie and someones being a total jerk for the fun of it.

So yesterday I went to see the Hulk for the second time, and I went with a group of nineteen (including my family of six). My dad bought a large popcorn and along with three friends (nine total) we all shared. Not bad.

Whereas my Mom's friend bought popcorn for her fat ass son and he ate the whole thing...a 13 year old who weights 244 pounds ate the whole large popcorn by himself. He even asked for extra butter.:o

I don't care. I will always get the popcorn and put extra butter on it and those seasoning things.:o Pretzels are too hard at the movies. :(

Now drinks is too expensive. 5 dollars for a medium drink?! WTF?!

I sneak food in all the time though. I've seen people sneak in coney island, mcdonalds, burger king, and taco bell. Last Friday I snuck in Charlie's Sub's.:o
