The funny thing is I don't think she's entirely in the wrong here and while I don't think the Fernanda Torres team is behind it, there is a rabid Brazilian fanbase online who are trying to get her to win best actress by discrediting Karla and the movie (which isn't hard to do btw).

My favourite part is where she basically accused the Oscars of being woke, even though it's pretty clear that she and the movie as a whole got all those nominations because the Academy was trying too hard to show they're cool and inclusive, despite the fact that both trans people and Mexicans have horrible representations in it.
