The Acolyte: Episodes 1 and 2 (Spoiler Thread)

*Reads comments on show and sees it called boring multiple times*

Yeah, not watching it lol! Ahsoka bored me. So did much of the Star Wars D+ content. So this is yet another snoozefest?

No thank you lol

I mean, the 91% of critics who liked it probably didn’t find it boring, but hey, listen to the pedantic nitpickers and the incels.

I was looking in here at various posts within this thread. I don't watch incel videos. Anyone who reads anything I post knows this.

Sure, but I think we can all agree that people who post here can get a little bent out of shape of minuscule details of shows like this because they are so passionate about them. We all do this (I’m certainly not excusing myself from this type of behavior). Just saying, maybe you should give it a chance and see what you think rather than listen to what other fans are saying.

I also saw tons of outlets gush over Ahsoka and give that reviews like it was the best show in the history of TV, and I found that to be one of the most boring experiences of my life. So seeing that word pop up frequently in reviews from people who are FANS of this stuff? It doesn't entice me to watch it

I thought it was an okish premiere. The cast is definitely the highlight. And the fight choreography is really great too. The story and dialogue sadly aren’t the best. So far I find it better and more intriguing than Obi Wan and the bits and pieces that I’ve seen of Ahsoka and Boba Fett.

Also it was so delightful seeing Carrie-Ann Moss in her bit role. I could’ve watched a whole show with her.

I would love to see the $250 million movie version of this with the same cast with a better script.

I mean, if some people were tempted to check out the series because of comparisons to Andor, I find that being a very unfair comparison, and definitely reason to be disappointed. I mean, I'm enjoying it. But, I also have enjoyed pretty much all of the Star Wars shows, flaws and all.

Jedi Master Frasier Crane.

"Hello Force users, I'm listening."

Enjoyed the first episode. It sets up the central mystery well at least.
