What do you think? Do you think adam will turn up in the infinity war? He's such a major part of it he pretty much has to.

Still marvel might want to give his position to captain marvel a bit to boost her fame a bit maybe?

Anyway who would you cast? Finn jones would be good

Names usually start with capitals

Since Warlock was hinted briefly in GotG already, I think there's a hope that he will fully show up in the next installment and then will become a part of "Infinity War" storyline.

Do they need him. Probably not.
Should they have him. Yes.

He will offer the Guardians a more serious edge. His story is great and he has a bigger link to Thanos/Infinity gems than most other characters.
They can use him to tell Thanos's story. Also can introduce the Magus as a bad guy.

I hope he's in. If he's not in GOTG2 I don't think they'd have room to inroduce him in Infinity War. If he's in GOTG2 then I'm sure he'll play his part.

We have no idea if he'll even be in this...

And I personally doubt it

What? Why?

Do you doubt he will be in the MCU? Do you think he wouldn't fit well in the Infinity War story?

The original Infinity Gauntlet comic is basically something of an ensemble piece when it comes to the heroes, but Adam Warlock is basically its primary protagonist. Considering said comic will undoubtedly serve as the primary source of inspiration for A:IW1 and 2, I don't see a valid rationale to leave out Warlock.

Even if Warlock does play a role, it won't be the main one, since it's an Avengers movie. And honestly, unless Guardians introduces him, I don't see him popping up here, and certainly don't see him taking priority over any of the core nine Avengers

The valid reason of course being that the Avengers are superstars and that unlike the original, this is an Avengers story rather than just a general Marvel Universe crossover.

They aren't going to build up the big confrontation between the Avengers and Thanos through two movies and three phases and then have the Avengers play second fiddle to some newbie.

Don't get me wrong, Adam Warlock may very well be in the movie. But as the primary protagonist like the original Infinity saga? No way.

^ I don't expect Warlock to be the primary protagonist of the IW movies. My point was that considering that he was (arugably) the primary protagonist of the IG comics, I don't see them leaving him out altogether.

He'll have a Coulson/Hill sized role at absolute best I think if he is involved.

They need to introduce him in GotG 2. His link with the sole gem/thanos is too big to ignore.

He wont be the star but he should have a key role.

Its a key role in the comics but this isn't the comics.

The MCU is doing Ultron without Hank Pym. And they are doing Civil War without Spider-Man.

They can just as easily do Infinity War without Warlock.

They can do it without him. But there's no reason for them to. He could bring an extra element to the GotG crew (bit of gravitas). He has some good stories. It would be a good way to introduce the soul gem. You can use him to show what happens to the gems after Thanos is defeated. He is also a good reflection of Thanos. He could be the one character on the good guys side who understands what is going on, at an intergalactic level.

Leaving him out would limit the MCU in my opinion. But Feige may disagree.

When Adam Warlock was first introduced in the comics, was his name meant to sound just like a normal human sounding name? Or was it meant to sound imposing or cool or something?

Because there are earthlings with that surname - eg actor Billy Warlock from Baywatch. Just saying.

Adam Warlock: Lifeguard.

He had no name in the beginning and was just referred to as "Him." One of the higher powers (I don't remember who), later dubbed him "Warlock." Then when he was on an alternate Earth or something and befriended some kids, they thought he needed 2 names like Earth people have, so they named him Adam.

If he's in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (and he should be), then he will undoubtedly be in it. Even if he doesn't show up in GOTG2, there's still a good chance of him being introduced in Infinity War.

I think he will be in GotG 2... Like to see him!

Adam Warlock is a 100% necessary, non-negotiable part of the Infinity saga. My believe is he'll probably wind up being Star-Lord's father, and factor in from there into the Infinity War.
