You're right, they seem to be filming. Momoa barely changes his clothes for the film. :funny:

I wonder if they dropped the idea of him having tattoos on his hands or they just forgot to add them? One on his neck is visible.

Good point! Maybe they just nixed that idea altogether. Either that or the tattoo shows up after he becomes king? We'll have to investigate!

I haven't read or heard of this anywhere so to the people in the know...is this a prequel or set after JUSTICE LEAGUE?

I don't think we can say what the relation is time wise to JL yet. We kow for sure with AM's dad and younger self cast that there will be some flashbacks. Other than that I think everthing is speculation.

You can see the tattoo on his neck.

I can take them or leave them.

I keep reading this but I don't get it. What do people mean by "Shark Eyes"?

Cuz...

I don't see it myself. I barely notice the contacts.

I hope Amber isn't getting too cold out there. It can get surprisingly chilly around here at night! I guess Queensland is different though

Amber looks amazing in the suit. And i'm loving how red her hair is.

She does. And Jason and her look great together.
I'm excited to see this movie more than I expected!

While Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman is technically a prequel within the grander scope of the growing DC Extended Universe -- primarily set during the events of World War I -- what has remained unclear is exactly how the franchise's in-development projects will fit into the timeline post-Justice League. After all, given the established history of the characters within the canon, there are plenty of opportunities to tell stories set both in the future and in the past. In most cases, the settings of upcoming projects remain a mystery, but I can now confirm that James Wan's Aquaman will be set in the aftermath of Zack Snyder's superhero team-up film. Executive producer Charles Roven told me recently,

Aquaman will make reference [to Justice League]. There will be some reference of something that preceded Aquaman that will be in Aquaman. I believe that is the intention.

Most likely it's gonna be like the Throne of Atlantis story arc where the main narrative takes place in the present day but elements of his origin and previous history with certain characters will drive the plot

So flashbacks alluding to his origins along with present day material. Works for me.

How large will be Nicole Kidmans role Queen Atlanna in this movie? Will she be involved in action sequences or only in flashback sequences? She actually mentioned in an interview, thath she will play a mermaid warrior and as a oscar winner she should have a larger role. So Justin Wan should not waste her talent. What do you think?

I can't wait for the art book of this movie.

Depends on the story. There was a version of the story where Aquaman was imprisoned by the Atlanteans (his classic costume was revealed to actually be the garb given to the prisoners of Atlantis which I always loved. He adopted it as his look in my mind as an "F-You" to the elites of Atlantis) and his mother actually used to pass by him as he worked on a chain gang doing forced labor.

Yeah I reckon that might be the case. I guess it would be a lot like Lost. It's tricky to get it right because for some reason people complain when there's too many flashbacks

I've been reading some Cinemacon reports and read some interesting things
Atlantis is portrayed as an epic, monumental, and breathtaking metropolis, filled with a burgeoning populace and "creature traffic" abound.

The concept art was epic. A huge, almost Gondor-like city, lots of detail, and hangers with ships going in and out which are flanked by massive statues. A quick burst of images showed underwater ruins, killer hammerheads and, finally, a battle between two people with tridents

Now the one that mentioned ships going in and out of hangers makes me think that Atlantis might be portrayed as technologically advanced. I'm not really familiar with Aquaman lore outside of the cartoons but we might see other Atlanteans that don't look like humans which we got in Young Justice . All of that has me really looking forward to this movie and Justice League when we'll get a look at Atlantis in that movie.
