I wish Aquaman can become a live action movie someday when its released in theatres. Justin Hartley who played Aquaman on the first pilot movie was un-aired to be released on CW since he started his role playing Green Arrow.

I want to know what are we going to do on with this superhero in the DC Universe to be lined up from Warner Bros to be released in theatres.

As do many of us,lol. But Eckhart really isnt a bad choice for Aquaman. The more I think......there is no 'no-brainer' choice to portray him.

No, there isn't. I'm not even sure who my perfect Aquaman is. I like Dane, as evidenced by the first posts of the thread, but I'm open to suggestions. though, i think if and when Aquaman gets made, the studios will go for a young heartthrobby actor.

Well i think it would be great to start off with the clean shaven young orin/aquaman and then lead into future sequels to have him develop different looks like the longer hair and beard, the water hand, etc....

I think Simon Baker is my favorite for Aquaman now. Something about him really clicks when I think of Aquaman.

Also, the costume's tunic should be bronze or gold rather than orange.

This guy pulled off Benjamin Button and you are saying he's too old? I think that would be a matter of how the character is written. I couldn't imagine a guy who is known to be King of the Seven Seas for a while to be very young.

The problem with a 'Aquaman' film is that Aquaman is that Aquaman has no second genre

Superman films double for a superhero love story.

Batman films double for a superhero noir/detective story

Wonder Woman films could be an epic Sword-and-Sandal/Greek Mythology story

The Green Lantern film I hear is basically a super powered Training Day (FTW)

Flash film can be an action comedy or at least a very funny action film in the vein of Pirates of the Caribbean

I mean even with some of the Marvel films
Hulk is a tame psychological thriller
X-Men is a civil rights story

What can Aquaman double as? "An underwater adventure story"....sounds like Finding Nemo...or even worse Shark Tale. Aquaman would be just an underwater action film. If a writer can find a second genre for Aquaman then I think we would be in business

A romance tragedy along the lines of "Richman, Poorman". You could have it center around both Arthur/Orin and his brother, Orm (who later becomes Ocean Master). Of course, this film would have to have lots of action, have a plot twist that centers on conservation of the environment and the protection of Atlantis.
