The All New and Improved Batman Reboot Casting Thread

I find him kinda boring tbh. The only time I liked him was Zero Dark Thirty.

He’s still my pick for Thomas Wayne.

Has anyone ever suggested DiCaprio for Hugo Strange cuz holy **** would that be a huge get. Look at Leo in his upcoming film...378A4056-4760-4352-9079-241ADFDF3555.jpeg

He’s got the energy for a great Joker but I could see how that may be too obvious a choice for some people.

I've only recently seen Clarke in TDATT, but he played such a good pos, I'd want him a bit more Slimy than Hugo. Maybe Clayface, either the mud monster or the serial killer

Hugo is slimier than Clayface. He’s one of the slimiest villains.

I wouldn't say Clayface is slimy. He's more a different texture - muddy? I think Killer Croc would have the most slime of any of the villains.

I know he comes across that way but I usually picture him as more stable, cold, calm, then psycho and Batman obsessed. I prefer Arkham Hugo to BTAS Hugo. I definitely think Clarke could do a great Hugo I'd just like him as someone else.

Joe Keery will be 32 by the time he’d show up in a sequel. And even in Stranger Things he looked early 20’s when he first showed up.

I love Anya so much but maybe she’d be a good Batgirl for the DCEU, not Jeffrey Wright’s daughter. Also, DCEU Batgirl movie means Reeves isn’t doing that with Barbara.

Hopefully Bradley Cooper plays Lex Luthor in a Superman reboot.

Honestly, I think he'd just end up eclipsing Pattinson.

Prolly true since Nicholson and Ledger eclipsed both of their respective Batmen. Joker is just that bigger character. However, for the die hard Batman fans, I like to think Batman (Pattinson) would be equally engaging but just on a different level. Keaton and Bale may have seemed to have taken a backseat to Joker but they both offered some unique nuance all on their own.

I'm not talking in terms of performance, though, I mean in terms of his persona. He's too big of a star.

He’s not gonna take it anyway. But yeah his stardom could be a problem in a movie full of indie darlings.
